I just ordered a 330i. Dealer gave me production number through which to track progress via BMW's Owner's Circle web site. However, when I enter the number it tells me that I've ordered a 325i instead of a 330i.
Called dealer fearing a horrible mistake. Dealer faxed me print out of information off of dealer's system showing 330i.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem when ordering?
Thanks,
B.

I would call BMW - USA... I'm not sure of their 1-800 #, but they would be able to tell you for sure.

I copied this from another board..
Scheduled For Production
Approximately three days prior to your car going into production, OC will reach this stage. The 800 automated information number is much more accurate than Owner's Circle (by two days or so), so use it with your production number to figure out what's going on with your car. The number is 1-800-831-1117; say “Vehicle Production Status” and then read out your production number. If your car production is complete, it will say “Your vehicle production is complete.” This whole stage takes a week or less.

It's ok if that info is off.. most everyone's is. Just call your dealer to confirm, or the 1 800 number.

EAch dealer is allowed a certain allotment each month. The 325 you are seeing under your order is merely a 'place holder' assuring that your dealership is alloted the specific car. Shortly, once your car is built, it will be replaced with the appropriate specs...very common by BMW. Car is built in 2 days, then sits at the port for over 2 weeks until it can get onto a shipping vessell. Good luck and the wait is worth it!

Thanks for all of the helpful information. I've been on the telephone with my dealer and the 325 was a placeholder for their allotment. Information should be updated in a few days.
In the meantime, I will try the 800 number.
Thanks again for the info. Can't wait for my new ride!

FYI
if you order a vehicle you have to get the owner circle a few days to update..sometimes the option will be wrong, or the color but its just to hold you a spot on the allocation//as long as you have a buyers order that states all the options ur good..worst case scenario, if they did order the wrong vehicle, use the buyers order to make them swap a vehicle identical for you

Forget about OC.
Today OC said my car is still in production.
The 800 number says "released to a carrier and is awaiting transport to the port of exit."
