I accidentally drove my new 06 x3 over a curb, as it was dark, while taking a u turn and man... i guess i damaged some thing.

I heard the chassis being hit.. and when i got down i saw the fibre cover at the bottom broken.. i also had paint come off the bottom of front bumper (body colored). I am wondering , what else could have got damaged..

any idea how much would it cost to get this stuff repaired and get the bumper repainted ?

without pix and more details, but I'll estimate $2000 for new skirt, cover, and paint if done at a top-quality shop. If there is other hidden damage, the price can be (much) higher.

Best case scenario would probably be about 300 in repair. That would be replacing the bottom cover, and repainting the bumper.

You need to get the car on an alignment rack too.
If you hit anything with a wheel, chances are good that it knocked the alignment off a bit...

I guess there isnt any major damage... just the cover under the engine leading to the right mud guard is broken.. and it has come off..

and the front bumper's paint has come off at the bottom..

Gave it to the dealer just a while ago.. no update from him yet..

but one thing i noticed is.. when ever i make a fast turn especially a left turn... i hear some strange noise.. its like 2 wooden logs striking against each other... and it doesnt come every time.. i am totally clueless why its happening.. where its coming from.. any ideas plz ?

Well, the dealer replaced the bottom cover.. and the mud guard.

but where shall i get the bumper re-painted. Does any one know of any good place in central NJ where i can get it done ?

dealer already charged me 350 bucks for the other stuff... now.. i am not sure, if i should try painting the bumper myself :)

hmm... one small mistake... and i pay so heavily :(
