I need to buy rotors and pads for my 540i, and was wonderng if there is a local shop that sells at a reasonable price, i tried to order over internet, but shipping is ridulous.

Hawaii Import Parts, or you can try Redline.

Hawaii Import Parts is the way to go. Work with Owen, cool guy. Don't worry about brands because what they carry is all good German stuff. Balo, Ate, Brembo (oops, Italian), and similar.
Their pad selection is limited. You might want to order them from the mainland.

By the way, don't forget to use anti seize on the rotor bolts and on the hub before reinstalling the rotors. Might also be a good idea to have a one or two rotors bolts handy just incase you run into problems.
