dam just bought this car and its out of warrty already fuck... well first off i have 2 get the code scaned and i'll let u guys know what it is . for now i notice my sec air pump not working. the car hestites on WOT when cold when warm does it a lil.....


any ideas.... i know i'll be betta off with the code but thats 2morrow.

yes, hesitates. came on last night upon starting when the car was already warm. this moring cause was cool i didn't hear the pump on. then took it for a ride and it hesitates.....

11 61 7 501 563, Intake Manifold Cover is the first thing i would replace $62 11 61 1 729 728, Intake Manifold Gasket $4. it is locate at the back of the head, next step, remove engine cover, get brake cleaner and start sparying the intake manifold where it connects to the head and see if the idle changes. the you know you have to change the intake manifold gaskets also. we do lie 2 of these a week. common problem in the 540 and 740 's

any idea y the freaking car turned off?????


at 49,155 pcv intake manifold gaskets/ precat o2 maf was changed. this was the owner before me got the record from the bmw dealer he had the car serivce at.

ok, sorry missed that the car shut off, the vaccum is good then, it is suppose to shut off with large vaccum leak, like the dip stick is out. again that is good

no but the car turned off when u put my hand "near" the dipstick ( didn't pull it out)

the car idles fine btw.

would the sec. air pump pump give a code??? cause thats not working now?

when i first started it this moring. when it was cold it didn't come on.

did you get the gurgling noise before or after you pulled the dipstick, or you didn't pull the dipstick at all it just stalled while idling before you could get to it?

ok when i tired pulling the dipstick the car would just stall. after about 5 times of me doing that it LET me pull it out(car was still running) and i heard the gurling noise when the cars running.
