I bought a JL Audio 6w0 4ohm speaker on eBay. Got it today - is actually a 6w0 8 (which I believe is an 8 ohm speaker). Will this still run with the stock HK amp in my 00 M Roadster? I'm going to replace my stock amp in a few weeks (got to take little steps so my wife doesn't complain so much) or should I send it back to seller and tell him to send me the 4 ohm speaker?

it will but it will need twice the power to run the same as a 4 ohm.

the 4 ohm will run better.

Disregard this message. The box said 8 ohm but the speaker was a 4 ohm.
