AEM Electronic management M50/52 engine
<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->This is one of the finest and easiest to use EMS on the market. Its a stand alone unit which replaces the Factory ECU and is fully programmable with your laptop. It includes the complete harness w/sensors which are factory standard, instructional CD and a dash mounted UEGO wide band dash guage w/LED and dial indicator. This is a plug and play for serious racing (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=481081#) applications at half the price of the nearest competitor Motec. The R&D has already been done for the 3.2 liter BMW (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=481081#) and new without programming cost me $ 3250. Its been in the car for just a couple of months and is in perfect working order. The sale of my engine makes this deal possible. I will sell with UEGO and harness for $3000.00. Serious inquires only please.

Race because its presently programmed that way for a very modified engine. Its of course programmable for any use.

Very modified? Pleased explain. I want race performance for the street. Are you saying it won't idle right so it is race only? I don't get it.

The AEM is presently programmed to run w/o a VANOS as the tuning was for racing applications. If I were tuning for the street, I would wire the VANOS in and retune (aka reprogram) on a dyno, of course. The Unit is windows based and operated via a serial port with a laptop pc. As a result I have seen drivers tune their engine with the help of a passenger w/laptop while on the street or track (not recommended for obvious reasons)
