Just ordered a new 760Li w/all options except rear side airbags in black sapphire and black interior. I'm not feeling the rims, so I may go with another rim. I'll have to see how they look when it comes in.

Here's my question: I'd love to have the shadowline trim (especially on a black car, right?), but my sales guy is telling me no way. I know that BMW has the trim in the L trim, because they put it on the 750Li's w/sport package. Anyone know if BMW will do this or is there another solution?

Thanks for any help/advice you can offer. This is my first bimmer, and I'm pretty stoked.

yes, there is shadowline trim available for the 760Li...but just like the 750Li...the shadowline trim probably comes in a package...the Sport Pkg. Did you order a 760Li Sport?

If not, then you can purchase the shadow line trim and have it installed. If you go to the online parts database...you'll see that there is shadowline trim available...it will be the one with "schwarz" in the supplemental column. Also, you must remember that the black trim in the BMW V12 is always "gloss"...not the "mat" finish that is on the other (lesser) models. So you will also see "glanz" (German for gloss) along with "schwarz" in the supplemental column.

Again, shadowline trim is available for the e66 760Li...you need to either find which option package it comes with...or purchase/order all of the shadowline trim parts seperately.
