I recently acquired an eighty thousand mile white, 4.4, black and grey leather, 18" wheels, winter package, no nav, no cd changer and fairly worn Michelins. The body is perfect and has no paint work done to it except for the rear bumper cover, and no it was not flooded. The X5 went into a curb at a good clip, sideways. It did not deploy the air bags. It actually is a rather sweet ride currently riding on new all factory suspension. Four new struts, steering knuckle, front axles, rear subframe, lower control arms, motor mounts, brakes all the way around, all interior appointments are perfect except the rear cup holder is missing a few can tensioners and a slight mark on the dash where an XM receiver was. All replaced components are factory parts. I am wondering how damming is the Salvage Title to its value? How much below market value would something like this be? In reality it rides like new instead of like an eighty thousand mile unit. To look at it, it is all factory paint in wonderful chip free condition. The chasis/body recieved no damage, all the impacted components were unbolted and tossed. So not pulling any punches full disclosure of repairs and Salvage on the title what segment of the market am I out of and what is the car worth. Thanks for your thoughts.

I don't know if anyone can give you a real number. Personally it would be a total deal buster especially since clean title 01s are getting cheap now days anyway. I would say atleast 25% off "if" someone is willing to buy it.

I need to sell my convertible and get an X5 this year and from what I've seen an 01 with that kind of mileage would be in the $19-22k range depending on options. Yours with salvage title would be around mid-teens depending on overall condition I'd say.

Thanks and I find myself in agreement with both of you.
