Need some simple service on my recently purchased 2000 528i. Know a friend who recommended Catherines Auto Repair on Northside Drive:round :help . Only need oil change and replace brake pads, sensors and rotors and their estimate was reasonable. Approx. $750 with labor. Has anybody done any business with this outfit? What recommendations if any would you have. Their online comment from customers seem like it is a decent place. Feedback is appreciated.

Where on Northside is it? It sounds vaguely familiar.

Damn, that sounds like a ton of money for an oil change and brake pads...
It's all pretty easy stuff, why not do it yourself?

I used to go by there a lot but haven't been in a while, which [place is that? There's a Benz place and maybe a Volvo place but I don't reember a BMW place.
I know there's one on Howell Mill, right up fro mthere but no experience with them.

Figuring on providing materials myself...includes rotors, pads and sensors for about $300 (ceramic pads and OEM rotors) ....labor to install will be $114 per axle plus the $98 for an oil change. Now the oil change seems high but planning on the labor for brakes making that at about $550. Any recommendations on the oil change?

Wow, I would do it for 50% of that. Its an easy job, about 3hrs total for all of it including the oil change. In fact I really would do it for half of what they quoted you.

Call CARMA motorsports at 404-237-1001, and Northpoint Auto (i think?) at 770-475-9316.

Both are small shops like Catherines, but I think you will get better deals from one of them.

CARMA is near buckhead, and Northpoint is in alpharetta.
