This part replaces the stock elbow that connects the MAF to the engine. It's smooth inside as opposed to the stock part so air should move faster. MPact noticed a 7hp gain, I noticed a 3-5 hp gain on a poorly running engine. New price is $229+shipping from MPact, my price is $200 shipped and it's in absolutely new condition.

Reason for sale is that my emissions canister is in the way and the elbow got pinched a little bit. It fit fine but the air flow was restricted so it was defeating it's purpose. Not sure if it would fit other engines, check with Mpact to be sure. Paypal is accepted, I'll post a pic in a day or so.

Was this ever determined IP legal? Are you going to VIR next weekend?

I saw another thread where there were two sides regarding IP legality. One side says intakes are free (making this legal) and the other side says only the intake itself is free (but then that makes a larger MAF illegal).

I look at it like this...bring it to the track and get a ruling before your first timed session. If the steward doesn't like it then install the oem piece, it'll take under one minute.

My first event will be the GTS Road Atlanta in March. This will be worth a tow for IP guys...a GTS3 field possibly as large as VIR. And this just in...VIR is under ice right now. Hopefully it'll be clear next weekend.
