I bought the car in October and the guy I bought it from clayed it the day I bought it. I washed and waxed (carnuba) it when I got it home. I have since driven it less than 1000 miles and it's been in storage since the middle of November. The day I put it away I thoroughly cleaned it. I'm going to be doing Klasse AIO and Klasse SG this weekend, and want to know if it's neccesary to clay it before I do it, or if that isn't neccesary since it was done not too long ago. Also I understand to wait 24 hours before applying a 2nd coat of SG, but do you have to wait 24 hours to apply carnuba on top of SG? thanks

I doubt you need to clay it. If it's been in storage, it hasn't been picking up anything nasty from the roads.

You should wait before waxing.

You should be ok. For a daily driven car, claying 1 or 2 times a year is good.

I applied AIO and a layer of SG last night. Man that SG is tough to buff off...especially if you put it on too thick. Good stuff though, good stuff.

Yeah, you need very little SG. When you think you have enough, use half of that. But it's good stuff.

you need to clay it. klasse is for oxidation free paint. clay it just to be sure.

clay won't remove oxidation, only polishing will.

Hamm: for the klasse sg, try wiping it on and off immediately. that should make it much easier to remove.

feel the paint if it's roughish or look at it closely if there are black heads, if so, then clay first.

Well it's all done and loooks and feels amazing.
1 - AIO
2 - SG
...24 hrs later
3 - SG
...24 hrs later
4 - carnuba

Can't wait until it's nice again and I can drive it. I had to drive it across town to another garage today but that doesn't count since it was slow and in traffic.
