Ok heres the deal. My 95 M3 currently has S03's all around. The fronts are fine but my rears are almost done for. I now have a few options. Ive been looking around and have been checking out some of these Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07's. Would it be a sin to run different tires on the rear until my fronts wear out and then match the fronts up later? Any other tire reccomendations would be welcome. Its just my dailly driver with regular spirited driving.
If I have to spend $215 for S03's I will but saving a few bucks for some better performance would be a nice change. The tread wear is 180 compared to the S03's 220. I wouldnt mind a little less performance.....Im just looking for some good options. What do yall think.

i would think the advans and S03's are at least close enough in performance that you'd be ok with them mismatched front/rear (not left/right of course). they're both supposed to have good wet traction too.

What would be my best options for a tire that has more grip / less treadwear, and a tire that has a little less grip / more tread life than the S03's.

Dont want those. A friend had them and the tire wear was terrible. Worse than my S03's.

advans wear out very quickly as well. just fyi, they are almost like slicks. tire rack doesnt even offer warranty on them.

I just changed all the tires in my 95m3 and I went with Avon Tech M550 A/S,
I’ve been reading many reviews before the purchase and Avon tech had the best write up. Better then Pirelli and Yokohama, Tires are amazing. Fairly quiet with great handling, I’ll probably get them again one day :D

Yoko AVS ES100s for the less grip/more treadwear. People debate about the tread life, so maybe that is based on driving style. I've had mine for 10k, and they are still running great. No track days, no racing. Plus, they are about $113/tire.
Whatever you get, rotate your tires more often (if you are not running a staggered setup). Should help the tires to wear more evenly.

Haha, yea I never rotated them. Honestly guys, if the tire lasts over a year i am happy. I am shooting for 1.5-2 years on the new set. I got the car in March and estimate that when I hit the 1 year mark i will have done about 6.5K miles this year. When I got it the rears they were pretty much new. I have never gotten good tread life outa any car ive owned....something about the car sliding removes the rubber....?
