I don't know what the car will be used for so I don't how harsh your willing to let the ride be, but I am about to buy some Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212 tires in that size from Edge Racing. I haven't owned them yet but I saw a ton of people speaking highly of them with the negative being a harsher ride.

at 105 a piece its hard to beat. http://www.edgeracing.com/tires/2354017/

If you really are desperate for tires, PM me, i'm sponsored by BFgoodrich & michellin, i can get you top 8 best rated tires for hella cheap such as Pilot Sports ps2s, or BFgoodrich G-force sport, or Potenza's, but if you want sticky tires i'd go with Potenza's, pilot sports are more for road & track racing not straight line or launching hard...

The Kumho Ecsta MX's are completely streetable, 220 treadwear so they provide plenty of grip you'll never exceed on the street.

The tire paintpro21 suggested, the Hankook Z212 is a great tire but I think it will wear too fast on the street (200 tw, identical to the Azenis ST-615). It is a suitable track day tire, but they are also extremely well-priced and best bang/buck mod IMO. Many VW ppl have raved about these tires simply b/c of the price and extreme grippiness they provide. Modern Azenis-killer.

Fuzion ZRi's will not hold up to your 327i-T's power output, they are essentially all-seasons but are great bang for the buck.

Kumho ASX - Ultra High Performance All-Season - 30k warranty - $90/tire
BFGoodrich g-Force Sports - Ultra High Performance - $100/tire.

I am leaning heavily towards the Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 tires... any more nods for those?

Haha.. sumitomo HTR-Z II's baby. These tires are practically free at under $80/ea. Good wearing? Hell if I know. Best grip? Pretty good after you break them in..

I have a set of hankooks in 225/45/17 I couldnt sell on ebay for $100 for all 4 with 8/32s tread. Might as well be looking at a Nankang.

I'd say No to the Sumos as well. BFGs would be my bet based on the return for value.

Ordered a set of Bridgestone RE050A for $174 each from Jim at Tire Rack.

http://www.bridgestone.co.jp/tire/potenza_re050/index.html

Looks like the RE050A Pole Position will be due out soon, but not in 235/40-17 size.
