Not an option in the US, probably an option in Europe.

If I'm not mistaken, cloth is an option on all BMW's.

a terrible option... i know a lot of people like cloth, but leather or leatherette is so much easier to keep looking clean

The dealership doesn't seem to think it is an option...but I think I heard here that you can....oh well...

In europe 3-series/5-series will come stripped down like a basic Ford here...I know in E46's they still had manual crank rear windows as standard for example but BMW has to uphold its luxurious view in the US. You may be able to special order cloth if you want.

The 130ci (or whatver they decide to call it here) better have cloth available.

same as the e39 and e60. my transiter owns an e39 in purple with a purple leather interior and crank rear windows in his 528i.

the interior is pretty sweet actually, like a plum color.

Cloth is not a normal option in the U.S., but if one is persistent, you can get cloth if you have cooperation from your dealer and BMW NA. People have done it before with the E46.

It would have to be for a special order car, and the dealer is probably going insist on some guarantee that you'll buy the car, since they don't want to be saddled with a oddball custom car that nobody else will buy.

The factory doesn't care, they build cars to order according to which option codes are selected. Resistance will come from BMW NA, and from a dealer that may not be familiar with non-standard options they will insist don't exist.

you can get almost whatever you want through BMW individual.

I love bmw but they definately like charging you for options, my guess is it will show up as an option, but they'll ship very few and use the leather as a way to get you to pay an extra grand or two above the base price. Mitsubishi is another company that goes crazy with this just for aid of example (try customizing one of their cars the options are endless, and the new eclipse starts at about an even 20k, but if you want the decent motor add 5-10k).

I have asked 3 major dealers whether cloth seats are an option on the E90 and all have said, "NO." This is an absolutly, positivly, no. Not bf.c hearsay. Ask the dealer yourself and you'll hear the same thing.

In Europe, yes, it is possible to get cloth seats. However, their 3 series line-up goes much lower than the US's line-up (with cars like the 318i, 320i, 320d). BMW currently offers NO cars in the US with cloth seats. Even the factory which supplies cloth seats for the Mini no longer offers it as of a month ago.

I dont think it is available in the US, leatherette is the only alternative.

basically, cloth is available around the world except for america. but if you try really hard and get really lucky, you may be able to order one with cloth.

My BMW dealer here can get cloth.
They have a 323 that has almost no options at all, by that I mean less then anywhere else has. I cant recall if it had manual windows or not though, jsut glanced at it passing, and when i asked about it they said its the least expensive E90 in north america right now. She treid to go into detail about why they had it (or maybe she said they started with 5 of them?) but I didnt care and started saking about the 330.
