I know a lot of people think 19's on an e36 are too big, but in order to do this do I need to make any modification to prevent rubbing or whatever? Spacers? - Im new to all this as you can tell

depends on how low your car is. My friends m3 is slammed on 19's but he had to roll the fenders as much as possible and it still rubs a bit. Mine even rubs some with 18's sometimes.

18s look too big. 19s, your car is going to be a damne SUV. Go 17s, 18s with specific styles.

Not so! All depends on offset

I ran 8x19 ET42 with 215/35 rubber and no arch work at all!

What it really depends on is the width of the wheel/tire you choose to run. Andy318is got away with no rolling because he had an 8" wheel and a 215 tire. Any bigger and he'd have issues. I put a 235/35 19 on the front with a 1.5" drop and a fender roll and barely squeaked by. My 265/30 19 on the back without any lowering put me dangerously close even with the fenders rolled. If you go bigger than a 225 width tire, get cheap ones cause you run the risk of tearing them up. If you want to really figure this out you should browse the wheel and tire forum. Lots of information there.

But anyway if you do decide on 19s you may as well just rollem' just to be sure cause if they do rub your gonna hate it

that red one looks photochopped, but if its not, then thats amazing to see a car that low with no work on the fenders with 19s, good work on it though

My friend has a 325i 4 and he's got 19's and he's having major issues w/o it rolled. I'll have to figure out the size of tire and the width, but I know he's having issues.

Properly sized 19s will not rub any worse than 18s. It all depends on the offset and width.

Hey, pretty you don't need to roll the fenders, trust me. With 19"s you need this:

My brother who drives a 92 325 is running 19in BBS CHs with eibach sportline springs, he had to roll his fenders to prevent scraping.

It drives smooth now though.

I have 19" Wheels on 235/35/19 and the only Rubbing I get is when I have 2 or more people in the back, however if I driver her with kind there will be no Rubbing at all. If I turn my steering wheel all the way till I can't anymore it rubs a little as well, but this occurs now that I put brand new tires, kind off weird. The only drop on this baby is in the front, nothing in the back ....... I Like 19's and I don't think it looks like an SUV at all !!!!!!!!

I got 19" as well, running 235/35/19 all around and yes I did have to roll the back fenders. I get some rubbing in the front when making a hard U turn as well, going at 110 mph on a curb will give you a slight shake on the front wheels as well. But I do like them... and no it will no look like a 4x4..It actually looks drop a bit. 19" ftw.. I am actually selling my 19" Axis Supermesh.
