Well I did it this morning, after test driving it like 6 times I went in this morning and put my $1000 down on a facotry order 330i.
I was so happy,:alright and then i was told that I might not get it for up to 60 days :confused

Aparently there is a good backlog and Canada is getting the short end of the stick.

I was uneasy on the Active steering, but the one I test drove had it and I kinda liked it even though it was subtle.

They have a 330Xi coming in on the next shipment that was supposed to be just stock that is optioned the same except without the active stearing that I could get for only 1800 more then the one I ordered, and then I would have it next monday.
But I dont know, I kinda want the Xi now, but dont know if I will miss the active stearing. or if it wont be what I want, I really want the RWD, dont know if I want the AWD.

it could easily be different in canada, but I ordered mine on 17 jan, it was supposed to be built this week and shipped a few weeks after that. I called the dealership last week and they said it was already built and waiting on a boat, should be here by March.. so that's just under 6 weeks from start to finish. :dunno:

typically, at least here in the US, it takes 6-8 weeks from time your place order until it arrives in dealership. The easy part is getting the car built (2 days or so). The hard part is the waiting associated with the backlog at the port and gettin on a shipping vessel. Typically, from Bremerhaven to the east coast of US, takes about 12-14 days. I ordered my 330xi first week of October 05 and picked up 11/22/05 - equiv of 6.5 weeks.

That really sucks. I am extremely impatient when it comes to getting something like a new car. Once I make the decision to purchase, I want it immediately. If I had to wait 6 or 7 weeks, I would probably just buy something else.
