it has about 120k miles but has spun a bottom end bearing, at least I think that's what it is. it still runs but has a bad nock under heavy throttle loads.

its got 320 wheels, shrick cam, 10:1 malhe pistons, and some other stuff I can't remember.

it used to be my daily driver. and was supposed to me my track car but my M3 has taken over my life.

I hate to part with her, so I prob won't sell her. but I was just wondering what you guys think she might be worth.

its a CA car so there is no rust on the shock towers, and very little on the rockers, but there is some.

Not much. Whats the interior condition and the paint and how much body work needed? If everything is almost mint or really nice- $2000-3000. If the above is bad $1000-1500. If there are whole bunch of wholes in it $400. Super clean, all restored car goes for $7000-8000 where I live.
I really dont think its worth selling it,since later u might wanna buy it back. Dump another engine in it for cheap and have fun. Or give it to your kids.

like Dick says if the interior is nice and the paint is good its worth a lot more.

The high performance stuff might be worth more to an 02 enthusiast but they'll also be looking for a deal:)

Also depends on that knock.. if its just ignition or bad gas thats one. Nice body nice paint GOOd running engine with those mods probably 4-5k or higher if its in really nice shape.

Heck that dang 72 or whatever went for 17.5k at barret jackson & it wasn't *that* nice

In this part of the world its hard to sell anything for a good price. Everyone wants to rip the other guy off all the time. No honest people anymore.

I appreciate all the replies, guys. well, it is pretty tired in most ways. the paint and interior is prob about a 4. the driver seat was recovered not too long before I stopped driving it, but other than that it's just ok.

no the nock is not just bad gas. it's a bearing or a broken piston skirt or something. only hear it under heavy load.

Ive got to get it home and get to restoring it. either for the track or for sale.

thanks guys.

hey, you want to sell the shrick cam and pistons????

sorry, no if I sell it I'll need those to let it drive away. I prob won't sell the car unless it happens just out of the blue.

I think I'll start redirecting funds from the E36 into th 02. my kids are old enough now that they'll enjoy the project.

I'll be back to this forum often when that begins. prob this summer.

Thanks.

Ya thats a good decision I think. You'll end up getting a lot more out of it than you would cash probably.

Get her on the road and she'll pay you back bigtime!!

Good choice to keep. 20 years from now it will be our cars on the Barret Jackson auction block going for retarded amounts of money.
