OK Guys, it's time for Socal Dyno Day 2006 v1.0, on Sunday February 26th, 2006.

There will be multiple classes with cash and prizes in each class and a discounted dyno fee.
$40.00 for 2 pulls, 45 with AFR

Parking: The Red Areas are no parking. The largest red area is the tire shop that is open for a few hours on sunday. After it closes we can park in front. The other red area is the entrance to the dyno.

The Green areas are for featured vehicles only.

The Blue areas are for general parking. We will park on angles, ala a car show. The Blue parking inside the "L" is first come first serve, if you want a spot there you better show up at 9:45am

We're going the cheaper route with 40 for 2 pulls. Last time he was persuaded to do 3 pulls by a lot of people. It's a good deal considering the same thing on a normal day costs you 75 bucks.

Forgot to mention this is first come first serve. The bigger horsepower cars usually wait until late in the day to dyno, so although I will be there at 10am, I won't be dynoing until probably 3-4 when most of the other cars have gone.

If you get there at 10am you'll get the first dyno spot. People usually don't really start showing up until 12 or later, and by 2-3pm it's generally really packed out with people, although it's still relatively easy to dyno around that time.

Definitely. There have been times when we went until 7pm. The reason we do 2 pulls is to accomodate more cars. If you want in sign the list.

Also you have to realize some of these people won't show up.

it crumpled the 2 bars that run alongside the spare like an accordian, and the bumper got smashed, the right side tail light is gone, my trunk don't close, and i don't know how, but the internals of the tranny got damaged, cuz it don't run, i put it in gear, and it just revs and make alot of clangy sounds and vibrates, rear wheels don't move. so i'll see tomorrow what the insurance company says.

No, he will probably fly out that day later in the day..I don't have his itinerary in front of me. He will be tuning from the 21st to the 25th in all reality. It takes to long to tune for him to attempt it on dyno day.

The entire week before, he will be tuning on the dyno.

Parking: The Red Areas are no parking. The largest red area is the tire shop that is open for a few hours on sunday. After it closes we can park in front. The other red area is the entrance to the dyno.

The Green areas are for featured vehicles only.

The Blue areas are for general parking. We will park on angles, ala a car show. The Blue parking inside the "L" is first come first serve, if you want a spot there you better show up at 9:45am

No idea what you're talking about. There's a muffler shop, tire shop, and auto repair in the same little business area.

Hey, so if the first run somebody does an N/A run and actually scores
the lowest number will he be disqualified if he does the last two useing nitrous?

Your highest number will count as your dyno pull. Everyone is getting 2 runs as a rule...So if you dyno 100 then 200 the 200 is your number, if that makes sense.

Should be possible as long as you get there at 10am, get your name in the pile for dynoing. Some people won't mind waiting to dyno until later anyway, because the high HP cars go later in the day. I'm adding you to the list to dyno.

Should be possible as long as you get there at 10am, get your name in the pile for dynoing. Some people won't mind waiting to dyno until later anyway, because the high HP cars go later in the day. I'm adding you to the list to dyno.

For sale threads, the FIRST post is updated. And "meet" threads, the list is copied and pasted by the poster. So YOU don't have to do anything. But since YOU are copying and pasting this list over and over again, and since it's super long, I just think it would be better to update the first post.

Just because something is done a certain way doesn't mean you have to follow it. If it doesn't make sense or is not logical, change it. ;)

Actually, 15 posts per page (i.e., anything less than 100) is annoying. Having to click next page so much is rather annoying. But that's the point of forums. So you see their banner ads more. ;) I think default is very low (for a reason). I purposely changed mine to the max. If you're on dial-up, then it's understandable. But most are on DSL or cable so anything less than 100 is annoying.

About the event, though, what forms of payment do they accept? Is it first come, first served? Or is it according to the list posted?

It's going to be cash only I assume. He takes credit cards but since he's taking a beating on the dyno prices I doubt he'll accept them on that day but we can ask. There's an ATM next door.

First come first serve. We can't use the list because half the people show up late, or don't show up, etc.

Ahh, that's good to know. I hardly carry more than $40 cash with me. I usually use my ATM card. :)

Just fill out the form and bring it with you (x2) and bring cash without needing change, and you should be good to go, brother. Come straight up to me at the sign up table and I'll put your name in the pile at the bottom. Given most people show up late for these things, a 10am arrival should guarantee you a quick spot.
