For sure, this e46 330ci put out more then a SC e46 M3. This is an Amazing machine. Any one know what type of SC the car is running?

How is that? I thought the drivetrain loss was independent of the dynamometer machine. :confused

I was reading a bunch of articles about drivetrain loss the other day. And I remember reading somewhere that there is a 16% drivetrain loss when you dyno on a dynojet. So basically, there is a 16% difference between the wheel horse power and crank horse power..

Drivetrain loss has nothing to do with the dyno, it has to do with the particular drivetrain setup. There is a ballpark figure of 16 percent with the dynojet but it's not completely accurate for every vehicle.

Again let me emphasize that motor horsepower means nothing. Absolutely zero so why even worry about it.

autos are usually around 20-22%. AWD is 25-30%.

Brad, do you have more info on "Josh-99 Maxima-285rwhp"? His dyno printout says he made 241whp, but originally the shop tech told him he made 284whp, so there may be a mixup here. How much power did he really put down?

I really don't know...I copied down what I thought was his reading, the only way to know is go back and look it up on the dynomometer. I mean what should his car be putting down?
If it's not close to 285 then you know that's a mistake.

This car is a 2003 Stage III Supercharged 330ci @ 9.5PSI. He also have cams, headers, a ported and polished head, 40# injectors, 3.07 diff, SSK, custom tuning, etc etc... That was a year ago he was at 330rwhp. Which means that .5 psi plus something else major yield 60 more hp.

He told me he was running 10psi, and that was the Stage IV....dunno, you seem to know more about the car than I do :)

Your AFR looks ok to me....who told you you were lean? I remember Garrett was leaning out, but yours looks fine.

He's running the same psi as James who put down 318. He also has an Air-to-Water aftecooler, but other mods were similar. Only difference is he is auto and James is 5-speed.

I was impressed with the way the BMW's represented, it's too bad no Turbo M3's showed up or S/C E46 M3's like were supposed to have shown up.

Yup, that's Peter, I'm sure you've seen him pulled over more than once. He's gotten several tickets and almost had his car impounded for street racing. He's been one lucky guy so far.
