TC535i 02-03-2006, 12:43 PM Nice seeing your car out there last nite man.
I'll try to make it out, I need to see if my DASC is pulling the right boost/running the right AFR... but I work that day. If I can get someone else to take my car out, I'll be there in spirit. Not adding myself to the list quite yet... but hopefully it'll be out there.
Robocop 02-03-2006, 10:30 PM I'm in.

Synthetic Darkness 02-05-2006, 12:55 PM Seeing how there is another dyno day posted by another member, I'd like to know if there is still interest in this one. I think pricing is fair but there are no prizes and free food. We need at least 10 cars to make this worth while.
dorikin_86 02-05-2006, 01:14 PM I like DRS more since they're close =)
SilverState 02-05-2006, 01:18 PM Where in Ca?
Do they have a GT1 tool?
M3Jokster 02-05-2006, 01:46 PM i prefer drs.....

Okay guys, A few more cars and it'll be worth while. The dyno operators are really good guys who are very careful with you cars.
Silverstate: They are located in La Habra, Ca (Orange County), What do you need a GT1 tool for. I may be able to help you out.
96INFMSM3 02-06-2006, 03:12 AM What dyno do they use? (i.e. Mustang, Dynapack, etc.) I may be interested in attending.
SilverState 02-06-2006, 03:32 AM I tried to have my car dynoed and it would not go past 6100rpm. The guys from East Coast Induction Systems said that I have to use a GT1 to put the car into dyno mode before the pulls.
I know with the 01-03 M3s, you could use the hold-down-dsc trick or pull fuses, but it seems that with the 04 and later, you need to put the car into dyno mode.
So that's why I was asking if they had a GT1.

They use a dynojet 248c I believe. The same as Evosport.
dorikin_86 02-06-2006, 10:38 PM Anybody want to hit the track with me on teh 20th?
I hate to do this. I see that there is decent interest in this pending dyno day, but the date needs to change unfortunately. We have to go out of town on this same weekend on short notice. I would like feedback from all of you to help choose a NEW DATE.
thanks,
Kris

probably bc most people here have baselines at DRS already and don't want to compromise their current tuning.
ie...my baseline's at DRS, that's why i didn't sign up at your dyno day.

How are you compromising tuning by dynoing on an independent dyno, just curious. No one is tuning on Sunday.
Just my opinion, I just don't like seeing post competing events a day apart from one another, it's really counterproductive considering I've been promoting my ass off for 3 weeks on this thing only to have another one posted a day before mine and in the same relative area.
dorikin_86 02-21-2006, 12:24 PM damn...i'll be at buttonwillow =(
slcook54 02-25-2006, 04:11 PM Is this on for tomorrow?
Synthetic Darkness 02-25-2006, 10:48 PM Is this on for tomorrow?
Unfortunately no... It will postponed until next month. I don't wan Brad D to get all sad in the pants or anything. That being said, We can pick a new date for next month.

Look at the post dates of the original post. I posted my dyno day before yours. I knew your dyno day was on the 26th so that's why mine isn't rescheduled on the same day as yours. I understand you're trying to run a business and make some money. I just thought I could help some local members and friends who wanted to have a smaller dyno day.
slcook54 02-25-2006, 11:00 PM His dyno day was full anyway so I don't see the problem. Nor do I really care to be waiting all day to dyno, I just need a quick print out of my AFRs to send to NickG.
