View Full Version : 2007 X5... Is this it? rhonig 02-02-2006, 08:38 AM New to this forum... I have unmasked pictures of what I believe is the new X5. I need help in posting pictures or links. It seems I need special permissions to do so. Please help. Thanks! fritzintn 02-02-2006, 08:50 AM you can email them to me and I'll host them for you. The rear view isn't surprisingly bangle-ized. rhonig 02-04-2006, 01:49 PM I am not yet allowed to post links or pictures on this forum, but I have what I believe are newer non choppeed photos of the 07 X5. To see them, add the traditional "h t t p : / / w w w ." without spaces to the below text: stern.de/sport-motor/autowelt/erlkoenige/bmw/:BMW-X5-Der-Schlamm-Titan/527625.html?zz=1139067284&nv=fs&nv=fs&zz=1139067352&cp=2 to form the web address for this german website. View pages one and two. If you are allowed to post links please post the complete version of this one for ease of others to view. Thanks, Richard DeanP 02-04-2006, 01:54 PM Agreed, that is very nice. Those are some wide looking tires. 03X530 02-04-2006, 05:58 PM These are the pictures rhonig is talking about: http://www.stern.de/sport-motor/autowelt/erlkoenige/bmw/527625.html?zz=1139089965&nv=fs&nv=fs&zz=1139090029&cp=1 http://www.stern.de/sport-motor/autowelt/erlkoenige/bmw/527625.html?zz=1139090029&nv=fs&nv=fs&zz=1139090081&cp=2 Looks better than the pchopped version on top of this thread. rhonig 02-05-2006, 12:35 AM Agreed, that is very nice. Those are some wide looking tires. The wheels & tires that appear in this photo seem to be the same that come with the current 4.8is... 20x9.5 front, 20x10.5 rear w/275/40R-20 front & 315/35R-20 rear tires. Very cool looking! rhonig 02-17-2006, 08:14 PM BMW E70 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "The BMW (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW) E70 The BMW (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW) E70 automobile platform (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automobile_platform)will be the basis for the future X5 SUV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SUV). It will replace the BMW E53 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_E53). The E70 will bring new engines to the X5 lineup. BMW will begin a shift of replacing engines from the 2006 7-Series. It is likely the E70 will inherit those same powertrains. Gasoline models will include: X5 3.0i 3.0 L 255 hp (190.2 kW) inline-6 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight-6) X5 4.0i 4.0 L 275 hp (205.1 kW) V8 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V8) X5 5.0i 5.0 L 355 hp (264.7 kW) V8 X5 5.4is 5.4 L 420 hp (313.2 kW) V8Transmission choices will likely remain like those today: 5-speed manual (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manual_transmission) and 6-speed Steptronic. It is possible for BMW to implement their 6-speed SMG system into the V8-powered models. Also, this generation's xDrive AWD system will continue largely unchanged into the E70. Rumors also floating around is that the BMW 7-Series Electronic Shifter will be used in the E70 to rivial the 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class' shifter." rhonig 02-17-2006, 08:18 PM Personally, I'm eyeing the X5 5.0 w/SMG. Could be a hot number! rhonig 03-09-2006, 02:24 AM http://www.autospies.com/images/uploads/large/SP32-20060306-160554.jpg?undefined http://www.autospies.com/images/uploads/large/SP32-20060306-160613.jpg?undefined jr1966 03-09-2006, 08:34 PM the 2nd set looks more convincing as the production version. i like the rears of the 1st set though, but the front of the 1st set is not that nice. headlights remind me of acuras. africanrider 03-10-2006, 11:25 PM the headlights seem very much like the new 3 series, there is a hint of the same 3 series influence on the tail lights too NickAD 03-11-2006, 01:27 AM AutoLies is garbage...don't buy into it...that's not it. Look at that first AutoLies pic, and then look at the second...they aren't even the same wheels:rolleyes They're just photo-chops jr1966 03-11-2006, 09:35 PM I read that the new X5 will have 3 rows of seats. These 2 pics don't show that there would be enough space for another row. urban328is 03-11-2006, 09:42 PM that first set was disgusting...looked like what would happen 9 months after a Pontiac Aztek raped an x5...but the other pics look sweet ///MDriver 03-12-2006, 10:48 PM The pictures are too similar to the current model. I'll wait a bit longer before I start reading into these pics. siche1200gt 05-10-2006, 08:48 AM I'm happy to say that I have info, from a good source that the x5 will remain the same size. There is an x7 coming out that will be larger and accomadate 3rd row seating. It made my day, as I still want the sporting character , handleing and performance of a smaller vehicle. xmanjack 05-10-2006, 09:44 AM Com'on!Those photos are old. It's a touched-up "06. Didn't even update the wheels.we can only hope the "07 looks that good. Spargo 05-10-2006, 10:00 AM Hi I'm a 60 thousand dollar lifted 3 series -Spargo dapper83 05-23-2006, 02:45 AM Well i have a bunch of pics of the 07 x5 which i will post tommorrow....Saw it in person all taped up... sparkyman215 05-27-2006, 04:36 PM Don't buy into any of the pictures posted. The front of the car in all those pictures are way off. The back of the second set it getting closer to what it looks like. I have see the new X5 in person and it is sweet. |
