I was cruisin up the highway goin to pick up some freinds. It was my birthday and I had to pick em up, but anyways....

I look in my rearveiw cause the headlights behind me are kinda close. As soon as we get to a section of the road where he could pass this 350Z pulls past me and cuts me off....so i follow him till we both have to stop at the next traffic light....

2 lane highway by the way. I was suppose to go straight but he turned right and my balls got the jump on my head so i followed em....

He led me down a road I have a freind living on but at the stop sign on it he turns right whereas i always had turned left, and peels wheels while doin so

It was on at that point.... we take this road for a good five minutes and when i say twisty the word was made to describe this road.... on one particular turn i thought he was goin into the guardrail cause he went completly sideways....

Honestly this guy was modded somethin nice cause he could have taken me in the straight line i later found out but I stuck right on him the whole run...

We pull up at the light back onto the road we were previously on and I pull up next to him.... after complementing each others cars and exchanging names he says " yeah i almost lost it on that ice patch back there"...and I'm thinking (reached down and pushed the outside temp button on the onboard and it read 45 F) i was rollin with the windows down but i didnt call him out on it but all in all that night turned out to be really fun... i probally pissed of the maids at the hotel the next mornin when they went to clean the party room but still a Great night

You do realize there was no difference between the 95 "Lightweight" block and the regular s50 put into all other 95 m3's right.....

Good run, i think you should have taken him in a strait if your claimed hp is correct

he was pushin some mods and i never got a chance to race him straight up and he took me onto a road i dont know not cool in my book but he at least had exhaust plus who know what under the hood and the block is not the lightweight edition its a race block (straight from BMW RaceTeam of America) thus the lightweight....

I beat a McLaren F1 GTR in my 1995 4 door 318i. Its got a muffler and a white cf shift knob, and 2 10 inch subs. Other than that it is stock. The McLaren had a Inline 24 motor swap, and everything removed except the absolute necessities to race. By the time I hit 320 mph I he was so far behind me I stopped at McDonalds, fed my fat ass three cheeseburgers, and got right back on the road and still won. Those cars are quick though. But not quick enough for my 318i.

Its reliability is amazing but u also have to remember ive got the valve job to complement it....pretty soon i'm probally gonna bump it up to about 15:1 or the closet I can without having to go custom made on the pistons....shooting for 450hp at the block NA

Its a bimmerforums thing man. It seems like there has been a post of a 328 killing just about every car it shouldnt. Of course we all know a 350z would mop the floor with a 328 and dare I say an e36 m3:devillook

Btw have you ever raced a 99/01 Cobra? Im dying to race a stock Z, Im stock as well.

Yes and i killed em but i dont know how good of a driver the guy was but this was before my 350lbs of stereo shit so i dont think its what would happen now 100lbs lighter is equal to one 10th of a second in the quater mile

350z. FAT.

Not PHAT, FAT.

Gross Weight: 3815 lbs.

Now lets take a look at simple math. A used 350z would cost around what ... 20k in good condition with options ? I can find a mint M3 or 328i for half that (12-14k for the m3). The 350z with stick should kill a stock 328i. Of course I could still afford to take your girl out for some nice food before I fuck her since I didnt blow my wad on a midlife crisis car, but hey you can beat my stock decade old car in a race. Damn.

Now if I took my extra cash and spent it on performance mods for the car ... 350wha ? Toasted.

A stock e36 m3 vs a stock 350z would be a close race. Driver probably decides it.

Rightttt 15.1:1.. only if you run 116 race gas all the time...anythng over 13.1 can be short lived...Most of the guys I hang out with that race don't run over 13.5 on race gas.

450 NA at the crank is not possible on a S50/S52 motor, even the full race S54 guys spend major $$$ to get slightly over 400. Especially with stock cams...

Fun chase/race though....

it was neck to neck from a 3rd gear 60 mph roll. He(my good friend by the way) started to pull on me, 1/2 CL, at about 125-130. It was the closest race I have ever been in my entire life. We run eachother all the time, and about 80% of the time he wins from a roll(sometimes he miss shifts). Now from a stop, I get him every time:redspot through second gear, and we usually shut it off around there(too many cops everywhere in Sac). Nonetheless, he has a CAI, and I have a benfer CAI and JC software(212 whp). Those cars are very nice. They are built for more top end then bottom end, obviously since it is a Japaneese car. But I used to have a 91 Twin Turbo Z and a non-turbo Z, so I love Z's. I was actually even considering buying one, but I still owe 6K$ on my M and the extra 5K is too much of a burden for a college kid. By the way, 6th speed is no joke in those cars. They keep pulling, and pulling and pulling. :mad

wow are u serious....ive already talked to the official BMW Race Team of America head tech and he says its possible...but ur right on the race fuel part of it and the cams....jus by raising the compression dosent do much....u need massive head work to complemet it and a serious upgrade in ur fuel system....if u can get over 600 hp out of a civic or integra NA i dont think doing it to and S50/S52 motor plus my blocks not stock...its a lightweight race block from BMW Race Team of America:eyecrazy
