Vendor:
"Pinnacle Performance"
www.pinnacleperformanceonline.com

Employee(s):
Adam - is he the only "employee"?

I move to have them removed from our supporting vendors list. If you search around their web site, there is no phone number at which they can be reached. They have an online submission form (no actual email address), which has twice "not gone through".

Their amateurish web site should’ve tipped me off, but they had a good price on lights that at the time I didn’t have much money to spend on.

Originally, I ordered a set of clear tail lights and clear corners (with bulbs) for my E36. The tails came, poorly packed, and one broken. Adam allowed me to send them back, and sent me replacements. I didn't recieve the corners for months, and I probably wouldn't have gotten them at all if I didn't continually harass him via email.

The entire time, he had my money, and seemed uninterested in getting them to me in a timely manner. There were several excuses, I didn't care. When the corners did arrive, they were not as pictured (slightly different, I've seen two kinds of E36 clear corners - so I let that slip). The contacts at the end of the bulbs immediately broke following a flawless installation. Both of them. I'm using my original bulbs now.

After several tail light errors on the OBC, the complaints started into Adam's inbox. They were intermittant, annoying, and didn't go away. Then they began to leak (build quality on the Depo tails is absolutely ridiculous). On May 26th, 2005 I received this email from Adam:

Steve,

If the tail lamps don't look extremely used, I can take them back since they are defective. I have shipped several sets of these lamps (in addition to testing) and it seems that a flaw with Depo's manufacturing process produces a small quantity of defective units. I would rather have you try a new set out, but if you prefer a cash refund we can work something out. Thanks and let me know what you think.

Regards,

Adam

I haven’t been able to get a hold of him to follow up through email or phone calls (I have called several times, and have even left a detailed message) since. He sold me crappy tails and now has my money.

Pinnacle is a joke of a ‘company’. I edited this post to make it shorter, I could nitpick further but I decided to keep it to the point. I would highly recommend staying away from Adam and others (if there are others) at Pinnacle.

They are not an asset to this forum in terms of customer service or in terms of participating in the supporting vendor program. If you have specific questions, don’t hesitate to ask. I’ve read some other negative reviews of Pinnacle here and there. If you have something to add, please post in this thread or link to your original post!

Bump.

Adam will not respond to my emails or phone calls. Essentially, I was scammed out of my money.

They are a registered supporting vendor. Anyone else have a problem with this?

I know I've read other's accounts of bad experiences. Do not buy from Pinnacle Performance, they are not a trustworthy group and the products they offer can be easily found elsewhere for comparable prices and with great customer service as well.

They haven't been a supporting vendor on BFC for like 6+ months or more. Don't know why you think they still are, and I doubt anyone is buying from them from the board since they(he) doesn't post anymore group buys. Hell he hasn't logged on since 7/2005.

Thanks for the info. I see their banner all the time above, which led me to that conclusion.

If nothing else, this thread will serve to ensure no one does business with them - group buys or not.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get my money back, maybe I'm over reacting, but I sent in the check on the 15th and it cleared the bank on 3/27. Adam has yet to reply to my daily e-mails, I see he has had some problems, but hasn't ripped anyone off. I should have done a search first hopefully he'll send my headlights.

I've ordered from there before...1st time i ordered corners on ebay from them w/no issues, then I ordered some tail lights directly from them, and had an issue w/them, they were unwilling to help. Didn't even offer for me to return them, they work great and I never get errors(I think a majority of brake light failures are due to the switch and/or not prepping the lights tho)but they just have a small crack in them that bothers me, so I never really persued it beyond that...

He ripped me off. If I were you, I'd ask for a refund.

Support and honest, hardworking, and quality BFC vendor. Not Pinnacle Performance, or in other words - some tool named Adam.

Joke of a vender. I've had a similar problem with bad parts and worse service.

I know he is no longer a vendor. But this thread should continue to be updated - it would be worth it to me if only a few less people got scammed by Adam at "Pinnacle".

I can imagine he is a great guy by the way. I hear girls love guys who make an income by scamming people over the internet.

Well didn't get ripped the lights just came in late and not much contact. Adam did say he was sorry and offered me a discount on my next order, so I can't really complain.

Same problem. Ordered tail lights, they were fine. I then ordered angel eyes....one side is now dimmer than the other. Tried rewiring them a thousand times and cant figure it out. Emailed them. No response. More unprofessional vendor ever.

Well now I can't install it because it's missing some parts. I'm waiting the 2nd day for a reply back and still nothing. Hopefully I can find the part somewhere and hopefully the lights actually work....Sheeeh lousy service. I'd have to say Avoid!!!
