im pretty new to the bmw world. but it never seems that to much goes on in OHIO. are there ever any meets. maybe we should get one together or something. im willing to travel to kentucky if theres meets there.

The whole Midwest regional forum is kinda slow.
I believe there are weekly cruise-ins in Cincinnati and Dayton during the summer/fall. I don't know when they start.

BTW I'm up in Troy, or am in Troy when I'm at home. Right now it's Chicago for school.

For what it's worth, I graduated from OU in '03 and am very, very familiar with the Hocking Hills/SE Ohio area. I know exactly where all of the best roads are. Come spring time if you guys are interested, I could really show you some awesome roads down there. Someone already mentioned OH-555 - that's an incredible road but it takes a long time commitment to get to and run all the way out to the river. There's others that are just around the Hocking Hills State Park/Logan area.

I'm on the northside of CBus, btw.

as for the cincinnati meets, they have cincinnati street racing meets every sunday night during the summer, but there are a litl of ricers there but it is fun to hang out around there

As for those cincy street racing meets, i went to one a few years ago. It was actually pretty cool. It was HUGE too. FIlled the whole Dave and Busters parking lot out in Tri-County. Might have to get the Bimmer crew together to roll to those. As for the park or IHOP...whatever, jsut IM me or something and hopefully ill be able to be there...

they now have the CSR (Cincinnati street racing) meets at a parking lot next to warehosues, I think its off of exit 2. right off 71. There are usually some bimmers there, when i went there were 2 M3s

Yes I do, I did a post over on DTMPower.net with pics of my car throughout the thread. If you search my name and looks for a post with "pics of my E46" or something like that in the title you will see them. There are some more clear ones towards the end that the kid who took the pictures posted. But if you search there you will see them. I know Beamer96M3 found them pretty easy when i told him about it.

Thanks, the car was probably a financially poor purchase so i really dont have money for modding it, but truthfully, im happy with it. It gets more then enough attention, its fast enough to handle most cars on the road that like to play, so I get by just fine.....Your ride aint too shabby either...

The IHOP at 5 mile and beechmont, pretty much right off 275 exit 69. VERY easy to get to. That would be my best place to meet i guess. After 6 though, when I get off my job at Johhnys Car Wash. A great job truly, drive S class mercs, any series bimmers, and the occasional Pony :)

Cincinnati eastsider checking in. Live in Hyde Park but currently in Michigan until May 5th (well home next week for SB). I'd be up for something but really would like to try to keep it a BMW meet. I'm not into the whole Import/Street racing deal.

Im always down for whatever. Ben, when you say pony car, are you talking about ferrari's or mustangs? I know there arent a whole lot of ferrari's around here. I used to work as a lot tech at the BMW store and Montgomery Jaguar, rolls, and bentley (now just jaguar). Joy road alot of customer cars there too.

I work until 5pm everyday on the northside of CBus so I wouldn't be able to make 6:30. I was hoping for more of a Saturday afternoon kind of thing. But, it's early in the year and we can hook something bigger up later on in the year.

I dont know If I can make it. i might be going up to UD on friday. Other then that, I dont really know. And I didnt know Ruby had a Ferrari. I know he had hummers, jags, and stuff like that. And its the Gregory's that own Mont. Inn. Ruby owns the top 4 stake houses (precinct, Carlo & Johnny's, The Waterfront, Jeff Ruby's). Not a bad little enterprise. Ill try and make it over. Ehh, I'll still pass. Driving down to Cincy for maybe an hour or two to just drive back doesn't seem really worth it to me, especially with most of it being after the sun goes down. Hook something up for a Saturday afternoon or something, and I'll be in. Then we can go out to The Hofbrau House or something afterwards and you find me a place to stay - haha.

My vote is to line something up for a Saturday a little bit later on, giving everyone enough time to plan for it. Personally, even if we wanted to do something this Saturday, I don't think I could commit to it right now.

Also, seeing a bunch of bimmers lined up outside of Hofbrau House would be cool as hell. Not too mention I love their German beer goodness. I once drank 6 of those huge things while in Munich.

after thinking about it, i'm going to have to pass on this one .. the car desparately needs my attention - so I'll be tearing it down on Friday .. there are plenty of things that I must get fixed, and I'm only home for 10 days so I'm going to try to get everything done ASAP before I gotta leave again.

Well what we should do is start planning for another meeting on a saturday or sunder sometime in april or late march. Hehe, sadly I surrender, as this is very true. :lol I'd like to have an E46 some day though .. prices on used E46 M3's are coming down .. I think once I'm out of college after next year I'll start looking .. once I start seeing a few for $30,000 (which shouldn't be too far off .. I saw one at the stealership for $35K the other day), I think I would buy one.

Anyhow, the head should be coming off and promptly going back on tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have a much better running car by the end of the day on Wednesday .. and then hopefully find a place for a couple pulls on the dyno on Saturday :D

Lately ive been seing a black E36 M3 sedan with some thick ass rear tires and quad exhaust coming out the back. It also has a stance that has the nose digging into the ground. Kinda looks like the M3's that are all modded over in Germany. Either way ive seen him on the norwood lateral every morning on my way to work. I wonder if he posts on here?

And Trey when can i come up and see that Turbo'ed beast. I was up in Springboro last night at my buddies, but i can always make another trip up to see that thing...

Nope no black rims, that would look wrong not to insult other peopls taste. Right now im cruisin around on my stock wheels untill spring and some more suspension tweaking. Then the BMW Motorsports will be on the Bimmer. I dont think i've seen that other guy you speak of in with the black wheels. Maybee we could try to get us westchester guys together sometime. Let me know what you think.

P.S. have you seen this real clean silver/grey M Coupe around here. Do you know if he posts on this site?

Oh I dont disagree, ive put my fair share of cars in their place, but Trey's E36 M is turbo'ed....and he has put some E39 M5's in their place....so i dont think the outcome will be much different. Sadly, I wont be around next weekend, ill be heading to West Virginia Univ to party it up with some friends....Maybe we can plan an event like a month away so everyone can make sure their schedules are cleared....

You're actually about half way in between where I work and live if I would take 275 all the way around. The store is right by 275 and 71/75 on the south side of the loop.

Nope. The only other bimmer guys I know in town are JC, who drives a red e36 M3 with a carbon hood and trunk, and a guy that also goes to UC with a black e46 325, green flames on the front end.

Why thanks. I'm sure I've seen you around. I typically wave at other BMW drivers that even remotely look like they might be an enthusiast. Usually they either don't see through my tint, or think I'm a pyscho. Where at in West Chester are you? I'm over behind Hopewell junior school, by Cox and Barrett. (for now at least until I can find a place down by my store.)
