What should I expect to pay for it and how expensive is maintenance.
I drive an E34 5 series now.
The X5 has all the possible options and it has 96k miles.

In all honesty that is one X5 that I would say to ANYONE stay away. From what I have heard from people that owned one it has major electornic problems, engine head problems, window motor problems, you name it. It was the first vehicle produced in the US in a new factory and obvioulsy they didn't have they shit together. Be prepared to pay out the nose on repairs so IMO you would be better off spending more and get yourself into a 2002 or better 2003 X5.

I did not buy it:( . The price was pretty good though: $17,000 and it had 22" OZ wheels+Toyo tires. I had it inspected at my dealership and it needed $800 worth of work, other than that it was perfect. 96K miles black/black.
