In light of my recent troubles with the law and other costs of driving an //M, I am very interested in "taking it to the track." And think some others on the forum may be feeling the same way. ;)
I have realized the difficulty of controlling yourself after putting p-mods on your daily driver. Fighting the urge to apex that corner, to really wind-out 3rd gear, and show some bavarian muscle. I'm looking for a club to help supply people with an outlet, to break loose, so we don't have to do this on the street. :stickoutt
I just joined the BMWCCA, and want to get in contact with other members. :shifty I know you guys are out there. Lets hear it from some Clemson guys!

Just realized most BMWCCA people probably don't auto-x because its "hard on your car". It is not very common for us BMW owners to subject our cars to such a beating. Maybe I can be proved wrong? :D

If being hard on your car means pulling u-hauls with it, count me in

I plan on getting back to the Auto-x world after a few year break and I have found plenty bmw guys right here on this board. I'm not a member of BMWCCA yet but I've always raced with SCCA. Like I was told when I was asking around for groups to autocross with, go here (http://www.scr-scca.com). Check the schedule and even though all teh events aren't upstate there are a few up that way. I've also begun finding some BMW entusiast in NASA if you want to drive up to VIR or down to Roebling Road in Savannah. Sorry to hear about your license, I lost mine for 4 months when I was 19 for drag racing, so I know how it feels. I would absolutely say check the SCCA site and come out to an event and wring your car out. I never even thoght about autocrossing being to hard on your car. I'm usually nicer to my car on the track than on the real road anyway. :)

SCCA is going to be your main point of contact for AutoX people.
As far as AutoX in the clemson area tho, NASA is king. Clemson Car Club runs NASA autoXs up there a lot.
But most of the fellas in the Columbia area run SCCA autox's. Me and PJ are trying to make every event this season in SCR-SCCA, so come on out. I'd love to have another e36/7 out there to watch, and maybe even get a ride. :alright

If I'm in town I'm down for the roadtrip/autox near the A-town. There's good competition over there.
