I'm fitting the OEM cd changer into a '93 318i SE. There is not existing cabling. I ran the cd to head cable and that works fine.

I cannot find where I can connect the power cable to.

What is the yellow wire and what is the black wire? Which is +ve and which is connected to the body.

Can any one tell me which wires would be suitable to tap into for the yellow and black?

I tried connecting both wires to the trunk light, but the light stayed on when I closed the trunk lid.

Any help ould be great.

try using the power wire for the amplifier, and inserting a relay using the remote turn on wire and the power wire. That would be your best bet back there.

There is no amp in this car?

What colour is the wire in the trunk?
