View Full Version : E36 Audio Question, setup, etc.?
ToQuickToCatch 01-25-2006, 04:16 PM hey i have a '93 325i 4dr (if it matters). anyways looking for a pretty nice sounding setup, as far as speakers go i have been looking at the infiniti reference, as far as price goes i would like to spend under $200 for all of them. i have been searching sounddomain.com, they seem to have them on sale and they seem to be decent. i am also thinking of doing jl subs. most likley W3's because i can get a deal on em. but anyways please help me! let me know which speakers i have to replace, sizes, brands, prices? in the front it is three on each side correct, kick panel, tweeter and mid range. in the back it is only on the deck, or is there some in the door, i would have to check. the speakers are still all stock. does anyone know about the Alpine Type S or R, i believe, they are speakers, anyone with personal experience on these, quality? thanks in advance.
ricardo
*EDIT* forgot to mention that i have a CDA-9855 from Alpine.

JPWheelr 01-25-2006, 06:15 PM Ben, numbnut, it's Shakespearian: "To Quick? To Catch? Thou haveth not the grounds to choose without folly! Tis always better to quick than to catch!"
Anyway, why apologize? I would have written the same thing. Sans-idiot possibly.
Stay away from infinity.
You need to replace all of your speakers. (that question was loaded)
If you replace your speakers you need a new amplifier or speakers that can run off of your head unit, DO NOT USE YOUR FACTORY AMP.
All things covered in mentioned thread.
