I am looking to set an early March/April time for a get together in the Lexington and Red River Gorge area . Do you Louietown guys think you could come down this way and meet us for a GTG and run through the Red River Gorge before the crowds tie the park up? I will scout out a good route and make maps if we can set a date that everyone would find convenient.

I think it would be good to be open to all the German rides. In fact, we have started a small group called Bluegrass Bavarians to cover the Bimmers Benzos Audis VWs Porsches that are not affiliated with other clubs or chose to run with both.

Let me know what you think about the concept, a date and a route. Most likely we will need a couple of folks from Louisville to come down early to help plan and coordinate. Only known bad weekends are 3/10-3/19.

Best choices are 3/4, 3/5, 3/25, 3/26, 4/1 (my choice)

I will post this on MBWorld and BenzWorld fora. Please add to other fora and list them here so we will all know where we are getting out.

3/4, 3/25 and 4/1 all work for me.

If this actually happens, I want us Louisville folks to ride together in a caravan.

It was brought up that some will want to camp at the gorge and others might want to stay at the State Park Lodge. As this moves forward I am thinking that April 1/2 might be the best weekend to do it.

A few years ago (about 10) we had a group together and had an annual run that had tshirts and everything so this might end up being that same type of event. Sort of a Spring Fools Run. I will start the planning and post up in the next couple of days on this thread.

Input has been good via email, pm and other threads. Sounds like we should make it happen.
