How much does one have to pay to ship an E36 M3 from Cali to Toronto?

i think you should look for companies that haul and ask them... seems nobody can give you a good responce

im not to sure on the shipping, but i know a guy who does all the paper work for bringing vehicles across the border.

I'm guessing it'd cost a couple grand to ship and a 2-3 grand in taxes to import.

$800USD for you with your cali plates. If its permanent then to insure the thing you will have to pay GST tax, and go thru vechicle inspection.
Its usually shiped by train or ship. There are companies that ship classic cars in trailers, which is faster. And its like 3-4 cars in the truck, and the trip costs close to $15000. Devide this by 4 and you have got 3800+

So me thinks that if you drive it it will cost ja like $400 in gas. So to ship it cheaply by train for $1000 is a pretty good deal. (I know that for the US location its $600.
