Since your car info is ambiguous (M50 B25)...I took it upon myself to pick a 1992 525i sedan to look up the fog light cover in the online parts database...take note of item #7: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HD63&mospid=47404&btnr=51_0611&hg=51&fg=15

TIP: model & year info is really important in helping us to help you better...the e34 went thru many changes thru it's production run and what may work in one model and/or year...may not work in another model and/or year. :D

Yeah. I don't see why you'd delete them. I really like mine too. I think the quad lights (headlights + fogs) that people see in there rearview mirror when your approaching must look really ominous. :cool

Since you mentioned it and that I've reconsidered, I might go HID route now instead for the fogs. IMO, it'd be useful for someone like e34nication where he tracks the car and that panel could take the brunt of debris on the road, whereas fogs are more expensive to replace.

Since you mentioned it and that I've reconsidered, I might go HID route now instead for the fogs. IMO, it'd be useful for someone like e34nication where he tracks the car and that panel could take the brunt of debris on the road, whereas fogs are more expensive to replace.

i actually haven't gotten out on a track in about 2 years... i told myself I would wait until suspension and everything was finished before I did it again... now i am planning on waiting until I have a daily driver... so hopefully the end of this year...

as far as autocrosses I will do at least 12 or so this year hopefully closer to 18... had one last weekend and i'll have one next weekend... have to check the rest of the schedule...

it's not that strenuous... usually 5-6 runs that are in the 50-80 second range. I tend to run the autocrosses that have faster courses. The local BMWCCA chapter's autocrosses are extremely fast... I usually get to or near redline in 3rd (90+ mph with the 3.15). They are extremely fun.

Last year I was in BMWCCA A class and the closest competitor I had to me all year was 3 1/2 seconds behind me. Granted I only made it to 3 events (out of town) but it was still enough for me to win for the year.

I was 4-6 seconds off of Jamal's pace... but he was also running a full race suspension, 285 kumho v710's on all 4 corners, and 300+whp. He was fastest at all the races.

This year with the new suspension work I will be in AA class and will have some pretty tough competition... I am hoping to have R compounds by the 2nd race of the year... without race rubber I don't really expect to be able to win... my guess is I will be 2 seconds or so off the pace... almost all of my competitors will be on r comp's.

e34nication, what is your engine setup. i have the same flywheel and JC chip and removed the rear section of the exhaust. just wondering what else you did to get 254 whp?? i haven't dynoed yet but i'd be interested to see where i'm at

Yeah. Mine's lowered, and there is still a lot of body roll. But it is pretty neutral; no real understeer or oversteer. I need some sways though...:cool

I picked a set of these up on Ebay last year for like 20 bucks... I have them sitting around here somewhere. I like the way they look on the car.. looks more buissness. Brent here in KC also has them on his 530.

I am planning to delete the fogs on my sisters 530 soon, but need to know whether she is gonna get a signal on the OBC that her fogs are out. If so, how do you bypass that so the stupid thing doesn't keep turning on.

Shes had her car 6 months and gone through two foglights on her driverside. It's time for a delete.

Sounds like she's tail gating too much.. I think it will give a message, but if you leave the bulbs in and just tuck them up and away you won't have this problem.

I, too, don't want to spend the money for new fogs. Not sure I want to spend the money for the covers, but I definitely would like to eliminate the dreaded dash readout.

Can I just splice the wires together at the harness plug? I don't have any bulbs to use either.

Bulbs are cheap. just connect a bulb and tuck it up under the bumper. Get the covers.. I LOVE the way they look.
