View Full Version : 18 x 9.5 m5 wheels all the way around ? Htownmobaudio 01-18-2006, 06:22 PM I can get a set of oem rear wheels 4 for around 900 bux is it worth it ... pros ..cons ??? CobaltFire 01-18-2006, 06:30 PM I did it, give me a more specific question. :) More to the point, you need a 5mm spacer in the front, and that will only clear if you have the sport package suspension or something with more aggressive camber on the front (strut clearance). 265's are the best you can run in the front with no modifications, and not all fit. The tires I run are borderline, as in about 1mm of clearance. No rubbing though. Great handling, and really no tramlining. I have a stock 97 540 i what will i need and with the spacer it doesnt look funny .. pics of your car ? CobaltFire 01-18-2006, 06:43 PM No it does not look funny. I, personally, think it looks rather aggressive. As for the suspension, I know my setup works with my Sport suspension, but with my margin for error others may not work as easily. I know that M5's can run this setup with only a 3mm spacer, but they have a more aggressive suspension setup (more rake to the strut body, hence more clearance). Running a lower/more agressive suspension would be the first step, I would think. You can try it with the stock and let us know, though, as it may still work. I'll post some pics later, as I have to leave for a bit right now. |
