I've been having a hard time getting spec's on the various engines, but what I'm wanting to know is what parts can I swap to wake up the v-12 in an e32 or an e38?

do the 4-valve heads/high-compression pistions/big cams from various 2.5/2.8L 6 cylinder setups interchange onto the v-12? how about engine management? Although I haven't found a lot out there for the m70-m73 engines, I _have_ to think there's a better way than spending 10 grand on a supercharger or trying to find one of the like 6 s70's that are not currently in an 850csi.

And, given how much heavier the s70 is, I wonder if it's even the same block family, if it would require _extensive_ mods to fit in a 750, etc.

As you can tell, I'm getting a little itchy for more power... jeez, I haven't even got the PS system sorted out yet and I'm thinking of building a 12. Simeon, you warned us. I feel early symptoms of the mod disease.

Some time back there was a fellow posting in the BFC Regional forum, in GA, and he was building a V12 race motor. It was a 2 valve type. I'll do a search and see if I can learn more about his project.

Sorry,
results were of a questionable nature. I would inquire at Performing Imports in Atlanta, I think Ron Trockleman(sp?) would know something about teh V12
