IS this just not interesting, or what. I thought that this would be exciting news. Am I wrong?

It's interesting... but I'm skeptical. A NowackM5 made a visit to the dyno at AA a while ago... and the power was no where close to what Nowack promised ... even after the hefty price tag.

I'm not familiar at all with Nowack, their site isn't the most informative.

If you want to go the full NA route I would look at Kellners. A guy over on the M5 board had them re-work his M3. The managed nearly 40hp on the Dyno. It took cams, ECU, and a FULL exaust kit to do it so I am sure its not cheap. I also don't know if the import to the US.

Yes, ALWAYS be skeptical of power claims. They are going for your money, so don't believe everything they say without research.

Nowack is well known in the European community, so find some European tuner magazines and check their reviews of Nowack products.

this is exactly what I wanted by posting this here. thank you for the replies. If you go to their site you will find a few reviews but only one in english from British Car magazine, I have always thought them to be a good source of info, was I wrong? I find it interesting that the M5 that was tested did not meet advertised power claims. what were the conditions of the test and were the figures corrected or not? By the way everything is about 27,000 euros, that is a stage 3 with all the other mods. And yes it is an incredible amount of money. But what the hell, I have been wanting to open my own BMW tuning shop for a while this may just be the chance to be a distributor in the US for Nowack. ;)

Anyway, I have been searching for reviews and links on the web, if any of you have them please share.

Thanks guys

Nowack is pretty well respected in Europe but I'd like to see dyno numbers by different sources.

As a side note, I know that you need to have 100 Octane fuel to get 400HP for the M3 motor. Don't know if that was the case with the M5 motor as well?? Dinan was able to get around 475HP out of the M5 motor without opening it too much, so I think it is possible to get 500HP if you open the motor.
