Hello to all...
Need some help identifying the telephone in my car. I just bought a 1999 740i and the phone actually works when I dial a number although I get the Verizon operator telling me that their system does not recognize my telephone. The phone is a Motorola this much I know. Are there any manuals available that someone is willing to share? Any other info on this question is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.
Also... anyone have or can tell me where I can get a manual for the radio in this car.

I was told by BMW customer service that none of the pre installed phones on the older cars can now be activated. They suggested a 2001 7 because there is a blue tooth kit available to add a phone.
I'm sure it's because the older phones are all analog vs. digital and the carriers won't activate analog phones anymore.

They will not activate the phone in the car because it isnt 911 locate compliant. I have an 04 745 that is going in for its bluetooth soon because of this same exact issue.

I don't know. The kit is available next month, so I have no clue how good it is.
