Hope this isn't a repost, and if it is I'm terribly sorry. I do know that you guys like the Dragon/Deal's Gap in NC as much as the rest of us so I was wondering if you all had heard about the Interstate 3 that is proposed to destroy it basically by running right over it. A friend of mine on my Lexus clubs website posted this today so I was wondering if you guys had seen it and/or signed it yet? If the highway thing is true, I don't know if this will help or not but I did sign just in case.

Its unfortunate, but there isn't much you can do, I used to sign these online petitions, I never saw anything come from one.

This is the most resent news I have heard about the gap. Not looking to good for the I-3 right now. :)


Nancy and Ron also attended an I-3 meeting in Murphy on the 18th. Looks like there is a lot of opposition to this road which is in the study phase for north Georgie and southwest North Carolina. We'll keep you posted and let you know how you can pass on your opinions to officials. Some 350 concerned citizens were at the meeting and heard that this highway would cut a 900 foot swath across many of the best mountain roads and scenery at a cost of 50 billion dollars.
