But instead of that tape, cue up some footage of a 70s-era cookie pitch man making a wide-eyed near-caricature of himself! (Do you suppose someone on Briarcliff doesn't like Mark Hayes very much?) :ponder

Amanda Davis tries to contain herself, but Russ Spencer steals the show by looking around off-camera with a mild smirk as if to ask, "What the hell was that?" followed by his semi-sarcastic thumbs-up and reassurance that "It's gonna be a great show, though!" :thumbup:

The woes didn't stop there, either, as the control room completely lost track of their tapes, probably from trying to sort out what was right, and searching for any other little surprises the career-suicidal operator may have loaded. :eyecrazy

"Tape" in this case, is just a generic term for "video footage." It could well be DV. Some people still refer to a new "record," even though CDs != records. :wiggle

I think it cuts off at about 1 gig of transfer, so it shouldn't get too out of control. I'm planning on pulling the file toward the end of the day anyway.

If it does spike, and the space gets shut down, the worst that will happen is my sig will disappear for the rest of the month. That's pretty much all I use it for, since I don't really do any hosting of anything.

I do note that the views jumped from 51 to 73, so I'm guessing it's in somebody's e-mail already! :rofl

The last time I transfered video from my DVR or TiVO to my computer, cropped and edited it, added introductory black levels/subtitles, an underscored logo, rendering, and finally hosting, it took quite some time. I must be stoopid. :stickoutt
