Oh sure, it sounds great, but think about it for a sec... Most of the customers for that stuff will be flabby old soccer moms, their even flabbier husbands, and busted-before-their-time unwed teenage mama-hos. :eyecrazy

"Perks" nothing. :help

Edit: Since the Red Pen isn't on at the moment... :devillook

You must be extra sharp and present your self well.

Yeah, it was a very inside joke. Only one other person knows what it means, but she's not here, so even though it's something that I say alot, it would make no sense unfortunately. :(

I was browsing through atlantajobzone's site. I don't really need another job now, just checking to see if anything in the legal field popped up.

Hane is an abbreviation for hereditary angioneurotic oedema.

A genetic form of angioedema. (angioedema is also referred to as quinke's disease.) persons with it are born lacking an inhibitor protein (called c1 esterase inhibitor) that normally prevents activation of a cascade of proteins leading to the swelling of angioedema. Patients can develop recurrent attacks of swollen tissues, pain in the abdomen, and swelling of the voice box (larynx) which can compromise breathing. The diagnosis is suspected with a history of recurrent angioedema. It is confirmed by finding abnormally low levels of c1 esterase inhibitor in the blood. Treatment options include antihistamines and male steroids (androgens) that can also prevent the recurrent attacks. Also called hereditary angioedema.

I'm still keeping an eye out for you. Have you heard about the huge associate salary war that started a few weeks ago in Atlanta?

No, what's going on?

And thanks for keeping an eye out. I have a steady income, but I really would enjoy getting my feet wet in the field before school starts. Most of my applications are out BTW. I'm just waiting now.

A couple of the big Charlotte firms did a huge pay increase in early November...so A&B and some of the large Atlanta firms followed suit at the end of December. Now every firm in Atlanta is scrambling to catch up or pass the initial pay raises. It's crazy, actually.

Keep me informed of your acceptance offers... :D

I say pretty huge....but some of the big ballas on here will disagree. Remember that this article only discusses first year salaries...the trickle up effect will be much greater in some firms than in others.

Is ass a legit abbreviation for associate? If not, it should be.

~"Ok, Joe. How much are we willing to pay for our new asses?"

-"$115k per ass sounds about right."

~"Yeah, that's some expensive ass."

-"You should see what we're paying out summer asses."

...etc.

Wth? I'd hate to lose my soul and end up with some lousy tshirt that reads "Ambulance Chaser" backwards on the front, with "I went to Hades and all I got was this lousy tshirt" on the back.
At least give me a balloon or an extra night's stay.
