Cool event, attended last year...and if nothing else it's for a good cause.

Its time for the second annual February Fling GTG at the Morris Costumes distribution warehouse in Charlotte, NC. Location is the same as last year. This is NOT any of the locations on Monroe Rd, it is located in the University area. There will not be an autocross for liability reasons, but this year it should be much bigger. We had to wait on the decided date because of Morris's expansion project onto the warehouse. Proceeds this year will go to the American Breast Cancer Society. Sean's mother was diagnosed about a month after the event last year, this is a tribute to her.

We would like to get another Dyno this year, possibly an AWD dyno for all of the audi folks, we need a list of people that WILL dyno, to get a minimum amount, (so the mobile dyno will even attend)

We are planning to have window tinting on site, just like we did last year (hopefully the same people)
And we will probably have a dent wizard representative on site, to make your car ding-free.

We will have food on site this year.

-How much is the dyno? Im interested.

Do a lot of BMWs show up to this event? I'd be interested in driving down just to hang out if there were a bunch of our kind going.

There was a nice group last year, zmaerd(Ronnie) showed up with his super nice e46 M3, and he's attending again this year. This year there will most definitely be a stronger showing of BMWs.

I'm still waiting to hear the deal with the dyno, because I'm interested.

Only problem they had last year with it is some of the people that signed up for it, didn't end up doing it. They need a large enough group to get a certain deal, so they need definitive answers, instead of maybes.

It's just a 45 minute drive up to Charlotte from my house, I might come up and meet a few of you NC guys.

What is there to eat around there?

One good place is the Maccaroni Grill on Harris Blvd which is located right off I85 really close to the event. There are about a dozen or so resturants located in this area that are really good. To name a few::::Fudruckers, R.J. Gator's, Melting Pot etc....

Where in Charlotte is the M located at. I have to drive to Rock Hill Saturday morning. Which is South of Charlotte. I know it is last minute notice but if you can shoot me an email with the phone number before I go I will be glad to look it over.

Believe it's a Mustang, and it's $50/3 runs.

Whats up Trevor, sucks the time a good close BMW meet comes up with a dyno so does one of the largest MR2 meets in the carolinas in Asheville. Hopefully something like this will come up again this summer I'd love to dyno the 2, got some more goodies coming.

I could not stay very long I had had a problem with my house in Rock Hill. I checked out your car nice. I think I may have met your girl seemed very nice also. I did not see anyone else, but I could not stay around.

The drive from Greenville to Charlotte is awefully interesting with 500/550 coilovers. :D Definitely prefer my back roads to highway driving.

Nope, obviously didn't make it. Too many other things pulling me away, besides the weather I didn't feel like messing with.

That parking garage was a bit of fun...and in all the sliding and excitement, I lost my parking stub. I just told the guy in the booth "hey, I lost the stub, but I'm with him" *pointing to the car that just left* "oh...um......ok, $4 dude."
