I haven't driven the car with this setup so I don't know if it rubs on bumps or hard cornering yet. If so I'm just going to cut 1/4" off the inside for clearance, and if that doesn't work I'll raise the rear up 1/2". I have eibach's and bilstiens set at the lowest setting in the rear though, so depending on your suspension setup you might be ok. jrcook320 01-09-2006, 10:20 PM I'm running 15x7 ET15 and I have less than 1/4" clearance in the rear. MattE21 01-10-2006, 12:03 AM 205 50 15 will clear in the fronts with a bbs/zender front spoiler? I sure as hell hope so. jrcook320 01-10-2006, 12:28 AM 205 50 15 will clear in the fronts with a bbs/zender front spoiler? I sure as hell hope so. Huh? They are designed to mount over top of the stock valance, so it doesn't make any difference in clearance. You could cut the valance up to save a few pounds if you really wanted though. I remember now that I did have to roll the front edge of the valance cause it rubbed when I turned. No big deal though, hell, you can almost use your hands to roll it up there. MattE21 01-10-2006, 12:51 AM i rub the front inside of my BBS spoiler on my current 205 60 13's im paranoid that when i put on 205 50 15's (my new wheels, ET13) that it will hit the BBS spoiler on the front inside, and i will be up a creek without a paddle. jrcook320 01-10-2006, 04:53 AM shave the spoiler so it doesn't rub using a sander, then touch up paint ... you'll be able to make it work. You could always go with a 195/55 up front and 205/50 in the rear. I'd like to see if I can fit a 225/50 R15 on the back, it'd put almost another full inch of rubber down and only change speedo readings 7.2 mph. Or even better, 225/45r15. The only problem is that I'd have to trim at least .5" off the inside of the fender (cutting into the welds), or roll them, both of which I'm worried about doing. I spose I shouldn't get too greedy. |
