Just debating wether i should invest (haha) in Rims...
I want to buy 18s or 19s, and use the factory M sport suspension? would it look funny? does anybody have this setup, if so pics?

I dont wanna buy springs/shocks because the wifey would get pissed...so if its not a good setup to use the factory M suspension then F it, no rims...

I put on 18" RK's before I got coilovers, and it did look like it needed a drop, but it wasn't too bad.

I have the factory Sport suspension, and find it to be amazingly well balanced, and almost too low for daily use (speedbumps = pita). I'm not sure about the M-Sport suspension for the 530i's, I though that the M-Sport was only for the 540i's. As for 18's or 19's, I love my 18's. 18's will also make the suspension MUCH more compliant feeling than 19's. Good luck deciding on this!

Is the M-sport the same thing as sport suspension on the 540i? If so, then I'd say the ride height is pretty good with 18s, though 19s would look pretty ballin - but you're going to sacrifice some comfort.

I have a 540i-6 with sport suspension and just got 18" m-pars and right now it's just about a perfect amount of drop - I'll take some pictures here pretty soon.

The wheels you have on there now look awesome. My favorite OEM 5er wheel now.

I've got 18x9 wheels and 275/35-18 tires all around on my 97' 540 Sport. So far the only tires I've found that do not tramline are Mich PS2s. SO3's are a great tire except for the tramlining. I have yet to find another, cheaper, tire that doesn't tramline. When you go to wider and lower profile tires expect some tramlining unless you are running the PS2's.

The '02-'03 540 sport and all the e39 m5s came with 18" wheels from the factory.

Here's mine with 18" wheels and factory sport suspension:

Cool. My 540 Sport is 1997 vintage which came with 17". Any tramlining experiences? Probably not if your running factory rims and tire sizes.

I should've mentioned the wheels I have on there are not the factory wheels. It came with 17s. I'm running 18x9 with 265/35 tires all around and everything is dandy.

I have no tramlining at all. I use GoodYear F1 DS-G3's.
