I've been trying to figure out my front right headlight all night and i think i'm out of solutions. i've been using bmwe34.net for the diagnosis and possible solutions up to this point.
my passenger headlight (lowbeam) won't turn on. i've checked the bulb and tried 3 different bulbs out of the box. not faulty bulbs. the headlight is out and i'm not getting a Dash warning about a lowbeam being out. so i tried rewiring the actual harness as the previous owner decided to put in new connectors and crimps that were shoddy quality. went through and redid all the wiring and nothing changed. So i decided to check the LKM (light control module) i took it out and resoldered all the joints to the relays and any others that looked as if the solder could be improved upon. put it back in and nothing has changed.
I unconnected the wiring to the actual headlight and all of a sudden i get a warning on the dash about a lowbeam:confused
i'm wondering if you guys have encountered this on your 5er and if you have a solution i haven't heard of yet. i'm guessing at this point one of the relays is bad but i don't know which one is the headlight relay. if you guys know let me know and i'd really appreciate it.
previous info has all come from
