Picked up an 88 325 on Thursday and drove it home from Vegas with some help from Sean (Thanks). Overall car drives very well, gave 30mpg on the way home with a spare transmission, diff, 5 wheels, and our luggage in the car. Car does need some paint/body help and DERICIFICATION! I actually started this process within 2 hours of owning the car :) Motor pulls strong its an Eta block with an I head and the car has 200k on it. I also have a Euro 2.7stroker on the way with 60k miles.
Car will also see a turbo in the near future :alright So far I have the turbo planned, 5 lug conversion with e36 m3 brakes, Oem plastic bumpers with the IS lip, and when I get all that done I'll probably end up painting it Imola.

Here are some pics..

I know you like these bumpers..

Hey Ray are you looking to sell the engine that you won't be needing ?

yeah probably the motor thats in the car. I haven't had a chance to figure out if its an I head on the Eta block or not yet. I need to figure what exactly is in this stroker too. He said he had a real hard time understanding the guy in germany when he was there but it pulled hard in his car out there. I want to know what the compression is so I can turbo it. It has schrick cams and headers and he's not sure if its port&polished.

The motor thats in the car pulls pretty good and has a rebuilt head. You'll be the first to know which one I sell. I also need to figure out if the 3.73 I have spare is an lsd or not.

Mikeyfresh that interior is nice but my e30 will pwn yours in a few months :)

Well after I rebuild the head , realign the ft panels , convert back to plastic ft bumper and paint he whole thing I was going to be asking fair market value .

If you'd be interested in it anywhere in the process just let me know and I'll see what I'll take at that point .

I also have a 2-door eta that I plan on stripping out the interior of and then install a nice ratio LSD with a 323i head along with "i" intake for a 2.7i stroker .
That car can be had on the cheap ..now or when finished .

front plastic speaker cover/kick panels left and right
new door sills I ordered some from autobahn and they came in today but the are way too short so they are the wrong ones.
Ebrake center console
instrument cluster
the little plastic triangle that goes on the drivers side door right behind the mirror

thats about all I can find for now...

Ray: Yah Teaguer painted the car need to talk to him about price. I had the outside plus door jams painted. Didn't really care about under the hood or trunk.

Anyone have any engines for sale ?? I wish to drop in a M50 or S50 but if I can get a eta + I combo for cheap I'll just do that instead. My eta feels really slow. I want at least 200rwhp with removed weight that should be a good number...for now.

Teaguer: Thanks for the pics. I'm happy with how the color came out with those rims it should look pretty sweet when I get springs for the car.

Start saving and then talk to me ......or bring some hand lotion . :D

Well although I really don't recommend a single stage job they really can produce a good shine/luster .

We finish up with what we call a "integrated clear" that is made to be put into the single stage paint .
So they really shine good initially .

Big difference is that a base-clear job will shine a little more initially but the big benefit is that it will hold up alot longer and basically be shinier longer .

I only recommend SS paint if you plan on selling soon or are just a real deadbeat (like Austin :D ).
I can paint most cars for about $450 in a eurethane base/clear finish .
That is my hookup price and is on par with my dealer pricing .

Oh and I'm definitely not the one doing the painting ..don't let me give that impression .
Just have the means to get them painted . :D

http://www.dysop.com/ry/68.jpg

It's a 68...not a SS or Z28 but the 500hp 406SB makes it ok.

If it ever calls my garage home there will be many suspension goodies on the way. Detroit Speed & Engineering makes nice kits for front and rear but they are $$$. For now it lives with my Dad.

http://compcams.com/information/VideoLibrary/ On the left side under cam sounds...the XM-278 is a kinda distorted mp3 clip of a little blip session. It was video at one time...but seems it got bumped to the sound clips.

A Comp Cams guy was making the rounds at a Hot Rod Power Tour event we were at and saw the XM-278 on the spec sheet. He asked if he could record it and put it up on the site. They put it up and my Dad and I got the Comp Cams t-shirts in the mail as promised.
