Guys, I got that kit to relocate my battery to the trunk, from JEGs.
I have it going inside the firewall.
I was wondering did you wire one cable directly to the starter?

IIRC one goes to the starter, the other goes to the fuse box (in a 320i). The alternator is connectoed to the starter...right?
I used the cable and distribution block from a newer BMW, so the battery is DIRECTLY connected to either. The cable comes from the battery to the distr block attached to the strut tower. Then from that block to the starter and fuse box. There was talk with pics a WHILE ago, like 2 years back I believe from when I was doing this and had some questions. Worth a search? :dunno

I actually used a positive junction block which I bought from the Mercedes Dealer I work at from an E Class. That way I could run the battery to the junction block, then everything else to where they needed to go.

Yes, you can just run the cable to the starter and tap off that to supply power to the fuse panel.

If you are going to do this, you might consider using a standard racing battery cutoff switch. Battery goes to one terminal, everything else from the other. You even get some minimal theft protection by taking out the little switch key.

Any Mercedes Dealer can get them. I think the complete assembly was about $20. All W210 E Class Sedans have them and they are located in the left side engine compartment. I can get you one if you like, but I think it would be easier if it was gotten locally.

Agreed, it would also be a good idea to install a cut off switch.
