View Full Version : Green Mountain / Patroon BMW CCA Events
TeamStowell 01-08-2006, 10:42 AM As I am getting our events for the spring lined up, I thought we would all benefit from having a central location to list what's happening in our neck of the woods. As discussion starts on the specific events, we could then spin off on a new thread to keep this one from growing into a monster. Off we go....
Friday April 28th The Komen Ultimate Drive fleet needs to be moved from Poughkeepsie to NYC. BMW CCA members are needed to take this caravan of 18 2006 Bimmers into Manhattan. We will be leaving Mid Hudson BMW around 5:30 that evening and then we are brought back to our cars by a chartered bus. Contact StowellBMW@aol.com if you are interested.
Saturday May 6th The Patroon Chapter hosts a Drivers School at Lime Rock Park. Learn how to take those corners with authority. Check out www.patroonbmw.org (http://www.patroonbmw.org) for driving school info and applications. Membership in BMW CCA is not necessary, but you will save more than the cost of membership.
Wednesday May10th Patroon Chapter has it's monthly meeting at the Albany German American Club located on Cherry St in Albany NY. Meeting starts at 7:00 with a $15 all you can eat german buffet. The meeting follows with a presentation on detailing your car. This will come in handy for the Saratoga Car Show and our own Concours in June.
Saturday May 13th This is the first show in the area. The Saratoga Auto Museum will host every type of vehicle imaginable at this Auto Show. The Patroon chapter camps out together under the trees and has driven away with as many as three trophies. Meet us there... I'll supply the donuts and coffee. Contact me at stowellbmw@aol.com for more information.
Saturday June 10th Patroon Chapter Concours D'Elegance at Keeler BMW. Shine it up, show it off, and perhaps take home a trophey.
Monday and Tuesday June 12-13 The Patroons head to Watkins Glen for a two day driving school. Learn on one of the most beautiful tracks in America.
Friday to Sunday October 9-10 Green Mountain Chapter hosts Sommerfast in Stowe - lots of driving, dining and a great show on Saturday.
As always, feel free to contact me with any questions about BMW CCA or info on joining. Keep it on the road...
Scott

TeamStowell 01-11-2006, 04:23 PM is jet-propulsion permitted in teh pine wood derby?

Wednesday March 8th Patroon Chapter meeting at Mid Hudson BMW in Poughkeepsie NY. This meeting starts at 7:00 in their service department. They will also provide a light dinner at no charge.
Sunday March 19th The Patroon Chapter heads back down the Hudson to the Taconic Education Centers Maple Syrup Festival for a pancake breakfast and sledding on a family friendly hill. Keeler would probably want to host what they sell, but you need to join us for Sommerfast to see the all German show. We did discuss adding Mini last year, but the Keeler folks wanted to keep it to just BMW's.
See you there.
