tmat256 01-07-2006, 07:38 PM Alright so I haven't been on these forums for that long but it seems like most of the people here get together in NYC and NJ. What do you CT people do? Do any of you actually drive down to LI every other weekend to go to these meets? Do people get together on a regular basis to talk shit? Do any of you go up to the Mass meets or are most of them in Boston?
My bro should be getting a bmw soon too so we will both want to get some bmw action in the area.
I NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS!!

bellavus 01-07-2006, 07:41 PM There have been some berlin tkpe meets in the past, but I am not sure about now.
tmat256 01-08-2006, 11:51 AM Yea I've seen a little of that, but I wouldn't expect much during the winter.
It was just a general question.

there have been a lot of long island meets lately, since it's been unseasonably warm this winter. Take the drive on down and meet us :D

Depending on your CT location, we have had several people from your fine state join us for Patroon meetings, drives and our concours. Please feel free to jump borders for some of our events. Also check out the CT BMW CCA site at BMW CCA Connecticut Valley Chapter, Inc. (http://www.ctvalley.org/) to join in their reindeer games. :redspot

I am going down on the 14th for the dinner meet. Gonna drag my bro with me and visit some people in nyc. :)
Should be fun but not the sort of thing i see myself doing every weekend in the summer.

98mpower 01-09-2006, 02:32 AM I just attended a wintercross event today in Bristol CT with my car club ( fusioncarclub ,com) and had a blast. We attend alot of autoX events and trackdays to limerock. We as a club also have our own events in Ct such as road trips and parties/socail gatherings gokart racing at kart traxx .Anyone intrested is welcome to come check us out online and say hello on our forum.BTW the best time for a rwd was held by a e36 328is.I plan on changing that next weekend when I run my 98 M3.Oh and my screen name on that forum is bmwMpower.
tmat256 01-09-2006, 08:21 AM I used to live close to limerock (actually we could hear the cars from my High School) and I worked for Skip Barber Racing School one summer for a coop.
Funny how living in the area and I had only been to the track once. I was never interested in it until I got my bimmer.
Ryan328i 01-09-2006, 03:50 PM There used to be a lot more CT meets. There was a good group of us that would regularly meet. I know I've fallen out of the loop along with many of the other members. The winters are pretty much a wash. Most of our cars are in storage or we don't want to show them off when they're covered in snow and salt. The Berlin Tpk. used to be a decent place to meet but it gets old quick. There were a few other various locations also. I wouldn't expect there to be too much action until the Spring. Try and get some people together then and you might have some luck.
tmat256 01-09-2006, 03:58 PM Yea that's what I expected I just wasn't quite sure. Only started watching this forum in the past month.
Thanks and I definitely will try to get some people together in the Spring. I'm obsessed with my car (which I am sure will wear off after a while) but I haven't really had a chance to see any other bmws anywhere.

I was the 328iS driver. I hope we get some more snow so CART can run the event next week. Bring the M I want the competition and bimmers were way underepresented. There was only one other, a 325iX owned by Matt who I think is a memeber here but I really am not sure.
Deadphan 01-10-2006, 12:28 PM Pics from the wintercross are up at cartct.com.
I espically like this one:
