i like your car. it looks hot. the wider grille looks sexy :D, very creative. but i suggest putting 7-series e32 750il grille looks better coz of its squarer design which is more pronounced and matched with e21 front end rather than e46 grille which is rounder. anyway nice car. any more bigger pictures?

I saw that picture of the roof off.
Did you chop the roof or just replace it.
Man thats a lot of work.
I also replaced my roof with one that had a factory sunroof.
Your car looks great.
RDAvena 01-11-2006, 11:32 AM and the toilet.......

hihihihihihihi
Nice work! A Hot Rod toilet to go along with all of the Hot Rods. All the toilet needs now is a Hurst shifter:D Definately wayyy out of the 'wallet mechanic' realm and with 10x more the creativity. All this work and people complain about a kidney grill? Rediculous, let them talk smack. They are still trying to figure out how to mount clear turn signals.
Impressive work to say the least.

So you're saying this would make shitting fun? Nah. The only time I had fun taking a shit was off the top floor of a parking garage aiming at a car's hood below.

Dude, do yourself a favor and put a harness bar, if not a roll bar, in that car. I mean a harness bar at the very least. You get into an accident now with the way those harnesses are mounted you can say hello to some nice spine compression.
Edit: I just noticed that the seats you have are shells and not 2 piece seats like i thought. Get a roll bar in that car. Single piece seats will not fold back if you flip that car. Basically, roll the car, and you will be in alot of pain, or dead.

How does that work with it compressing your spine? Also, do you mount the harness bar above a certain point?
E21FZRNU 01-20-2008, 11:57 PM Yo Gunter...I've seen some sick ass Scandinavian e21s, but that ain't one of 'em. I like my Children of Bodom tho.:buttrockChristiania was cool too.

A harness bar should be mounted so that the straps leave the back of the seat parallel to the ground.

With the angle of the restraining belts placed that low, it does not allow for the correct amount of forward movement before it stops you. Basically, it pulls your upper body down towards your hips, rather than acting on your shoulders as they move forward. You can also have the belts placed too high, like on the rear parcel shelf. a harness bar will place the belts about 2/3's of the way up the seat back.
Also, a fifth strap, or submarine strap will stop your hips from moving forward and under the lap restraint belt, which can also result im spinal compression.
Three point belts allow one shoulder to move forward enough to cut down on the force that might otherwise force you under the lap belt.
The Schroth 4-point belts have THAT same feature, allowing one shoulder to move beyond the other, which negates some of the forward momentum.
Reclining seats are fine, but make sure that it, and your belts, are SFI(16.1) approved if you want to run track or HPDE events....

I really want a pair of Schroth's for my car. The best harness that I've seen.

If you don't care about color, CDOC usually has a set(Rallye 4-pt.) on some kind of sale. During X-mas it was a blue set.......(couldn't pull the trigger because I have a brown car).
