THE GRID HAS BEEN FILLED

February 3, 2006 from 8am to 5pm (don't forget it's central std. time in AL). It'll be $120 per driver and a maximum of 10 cars signed up with no more than 3 on track at one time. We'll either do 20-30 minute sessions or an informal 'one car off, another car on' policy.

All passes will be with a point by, initially in the straights only but later on we'll loosen things up if the group votes to do that (at no time will there be passing in the corners). There'll be no formal break for lunch...we'll probably send out for pizzas or fast food joints are nearby. Ride-a-longs are okay and helmets will be required...MA95/2000 or SA95/2000 are good. You are on your own to provide one.

I want no fast and furious types coming...as I said earlier there are very few rules but common sense applies at all times. Track newbs are welcome as long as you listen to what those with experience have to tell you. I'd love to get a few with instructor experience to help out with instruction in the morning.

This is a rain or shine event and payment is due up front...$120 and it's unrefundable unless you are able to fill your slot. If I can only get 8 signed up I may ask drivers to help cover the shortfall. Please, send me the check today if you know you're coming...if I don't get at least a few checks by Wednesday then I'm scrapping the event.

Friday regular rate is $150, thanks to RJ we managed to get it down to $120

Paypal is a preferred. PM/Email me for my paypal address or check mailing address.

Let me know if you can instruct:

ok, count me in. PM sent. I'll try to keep my little 318 out of the way :stickoutt

Oh, and I've spent a day there before and instruct for Xtreme measures, although I am not a BMW club or NASA instructor or anything. But I'm happy to ride along with someone if they want me to.

We going to run it in reverse some too? That's a blast :D

Probably about 5 seconds a lap slower than you, if given the opportunity.

BTW - I assume you are Lemming from DRN. I am Tal Isbell, one of Gomer's friends from Atlanta.

I'll be in the M Roadster. Should be the last day for the crappy street tires that are on it. I have never been a TGP in a rear drive car, so this should be a good lesson in car control.

We'll take a vote mid-day to determine if people want to reverse it. I do. :buttrock

Yep, the one and only: tell Gomer the Arctic Rodent said "hey".

I think we rode together but don't remember where. Ivan and the gang are trying to get me to go to Aonia Pass later this month to race, not sure if I can make it or not.

I've only been to tigri in a rear wheel drive car, and yes it can get fun.

It would be alot of fun to switch the track at mid-day. It would also help on tire management for those too lazy to rotate throughout the day. I might also suggest that we play on the skidpad over lunch. I'll bring an old set of tires and see it I can burn them off:D

Last time we went they didnt allow us to use the skidpad. Its not my choice, well have to check with the owner :)

Hmmm. I don't really want to take up a spot, but I really want to go and check out the track. I also have a decent cam and wouldn't mind taping the whole experience. Is there anyway I can show up without taking a spot?

I want him to go as fast as he wants to go without bending metal/killing himself/others - there is no limit.

I think we have some 944 drivers attending that have experience. So, he should be in good hands. Also, I think your experience would greatly help him as well.

Track policy last time as administered by the owner was 1 freebie. As in, you could go completely off once without any retribution. However, upon the 2nd incident, you would be done for the day. I'm all for people taking it near the limit, as long as its not reckless. This track is really catered for noObs as it has plenty of runoff. He should have a great time.

got a SpecE30 friend who would like to do a shakedown of the new car, so if there's a little wait list, put me down for another ok? Or if any of you want to back out, consider it filled.

Do the gates open at 8 am or is that when we can hit the track. I don't want to show up at 7 to unload the trailer and such if I'm going to have to sit and wait outside the gait.

Talisbell, I'll take it.

EDIT: Can't make it on a friday unfortunately.

I might rent the track on President's day if it's available. I'm getting my car worked on this week, just have to see if any surprises come up.
