Manifold was one-off $2500. I sold my entire turbo kit a month or so ago. Top mount is extremely expensive and very tough to do because of space limitations. I had to reroute my A/C lines and dent in the body in front of the strut tower plus cut a hole for the piping from compressor to intercooler. It is no walk in the park mang!:nono

Good info on the top mount I'll axe it from the list of manifolds!

I actually have been thinking about trying the SS autochrome one with some aditional supports and expansion slot the manifold. It would be much lighter than a cast unit.

be very, very, very careful with an ss autochrome manifold.

their welds and steel are super thin. dangerously so.

there are a lot of turbo guys that cut their teeth on ss autochrome stuff only to get a blown-apart piece of steel in their engine bay.

Yeah, the "audspeed" version (just a spa manifold) is now selling for $600 instead of $450, glad I got one from a BFC member for $410 :)

Where are these SPA manifolds from then apart from ebay?! $450 is cheap (or is it 600 now?) and they look so Damn heavy!!! I mean how much do those things weigh :confused

Also, what sort of power have they made on cars?? am I right in thinking 600hp is about their ceiling limit or is that total bo**ox...!!??

Ive seen that on Audspeeds site I think but I think it may have been referring to the turbo kit they were flogging :shifty

Some people are using SS Autochrome products without any issues, that is unless you count the fact that it doesn't fit right out of the box, you have to modify it and/or re-drill holes, sometimes you have to re-port the runners, and other issues, like brace it because it falls apart.

It pays to buy the best the first time if you can afford it.

Where can you get one I can't find them on ebay? I agree i would rather have a reliable unit. The SS unit also does not have a waste gate flange.

Anyone know where to buy the SPA unit? 450 sounds good. I know the cast will be more durable.

Guys, please keep one thing in mind.......when commenting on how good or bad a product is, make sure your comments come from your OWN personal experience, not from something you read off the internet. All too many times people say an item is the best, or the worst, because they read about it somewhere. Yet, in reality, they've never even seen (or touched) the item in question.

Just my $0.02.

Yeah my bad. the SPA was $450 and is now $600 I guess. Still cheaper than Turbonetics and you don't have to machine a WG flange FTW!So whats going on with the outside of your m3 highboostingm3??

It's tough, but isn't it worth it for the shorter piping to the FMIC and cooler location? At least for the cool side. Didn't you have the cool side facing up and the hot side facing down? I was considering doing a top mount...

hey man YES I do run the SS Autochrome Manifold, you all may laugh but i only spent 200 bucks on this sucker and it's been on for around 11 months or so!!!! :buttrock I know the guys at SS or XS power personaly. They are made in china, but they are designed here in the USA in NC and they are test fitted and made sure to fit before the final design specs make it to china... My turbo isn't a gt35r but the specs are the same as an .82 gt35, I just put mine together without using a BB center.....

I'm running 10:1 JE pistons, I opted to stay kinda high because it keeps the low end and spools that turbo quick... Just a trick i learned with building Honda motors. Theses blocks are very strong and I almost wish I stayed with the factory 10.5:1 or have even gone 11:1. Right now I am currantly building a new motor for my NDRA Pro turbo 4 car. And she is getting 13:1 with boost it should be a torque monster off the line...
