I'm planning on having my DS2 centers powdercoated and polishing the lips. For those that have done it, I need some feedback on what order to have the different work done on the wheels.

I have some mild curb rash on the wheels, so I need to have that repaired and ground down. Obviously, this is done prior to polishing. My main question is, should I have the powdercoat down first, or the lip polishing?

Any other information that would be beneficial?

Thanks...

Let's see... paint can get scratched so... you do the math. There are a bunch of threads recently about refinishing wheels lately. A quick search should bring them up. :D

Yeah, I did a search and had a hard time finding the actual process most people followed when powdercoating and polishing a wheel. I guess it'll be better to have the lip polished first, then mask it off with some high temp tape to powdercoat the rest of it.
